From the aspect of being stainless, it is the aggregate of discipline; from being liberated from elaboration and conceptualization, it is the aggregate of liberation. These also, having abandoned the parts included in the path of learning, are considered to be on the side of what should be abandoned, merely from the aspect of progressing upwards. The qualities of the time of non-learning are not like that. In general, at the time of liberation, even the name 'aggregate' does not exist, because it is said in the scriptures that one is completely liberated from the aggregates, so it should be understood that there is no contradiction in saying it from one aspect. As it is said in the 'Sun and Moon Tantra': The aggregates are like this: the aggregate defiled by conceptualization and the aggregate of the self-nature of all conceptualizations being empty. The aggregate defiled by conceptualization is like this: because all things are gathered together and established, it is the aggregate of form; because all experiences are gathered together, it is the aggregate of feeling; because the grasping of the senses are gathered together, it is the aggregate of perception; because the subtle afflictions are gathered together, it is the aggregate of formation; and because all knowledge is gathered together, it is the aggregate of consciousness. The non-conceptual aggregate is like this: because all meditations are gathered together, it is the aggregate of concentration; because wisdom itself is liberated due to the exhaustion of outflows, it is the aggregate of liberating wisdom; because the meaning of that itself appears as unborn, it is the aggregate of wisdom; because the stains are manifestly purified, it is the aggregate of discipline; and because it transcends all conceptualizations, it is called the aggregate of liberation. The third, the difference in the types of sense bases, is: whatever is born and develops from something is called a sense base. The classification is: from the aspect of the object, the continuum outside of one's own moment and the consciousness that holds it both arise and develop, such as the six objects of the eye, form, etc.; from the aspect of consciousness, what arises outside of the moment and is born capable of developing towards the object, such as the eye consciousness that knows form as form, etc., are six. These abide in the twelve sense bases. Again, from that same source: there are two sense bases, the object sense base and the subject sense base. That is, thinking of form as perception, thinking of sound as perception, thinking of smell as perception.

, as well as attending to taste, attending to dharma, attending to touch, the apprehended aspect of the eye, the apprehended aspect of the ear, the apprehended aspect of the nose, the apprehended aspect of the tongue, the apprehended aspect of the mind, and the apprehended aspect of the body, totaling twelve. Fourth, the nature of the controlling faculty that apprehends is: because it functions by apprehending objects, it is called a faculty. If divided, there are two types: those arising from the element of the first form, and those arising from the element of wisdom. The first is: the coarse aggregates arising from the dominant condition of the first form, the five sense faculties such as the eye faculty that generates the ability to apprehend forms. And the mind faculty, which arises from the dominant condition of the form of the first consciousness that distinguishes, making six. The second is: the element of consciousness that arises with the ability to experience objects, namely the six aspects such as faith. Furthermore, in the "Union of Sun and Moon Sutra," it says: There are two faculties: the faculty arising from the element of form, and the faculty arising from the element of wisdom. The faculty arising from the element of form is sixfold: the eye faculty that apprehends the coarse earth element, the ear faculty that apprehends the moving wind element, the nose faculty that apprehends the gathering water element, the tongue faculty that apprehends the ripening fire element, the mind faculty that apprehends the pervasive space element, and the body faculty that apprehends the assembled various elements. The faculty arising from the element of wisdom is sixfold: the faculty of faith, which is the mind's extreme compassion; the faculty of diligence, which arises from the mind's extremely sharp element; the faculty of mindfulness, which continuously grasps the meaning of words; the faculty of near attainment, which manifests the emptiness of reality; the faculty of wisdom, which takes up the meaning of views; and the faculty of mental quiescence, which generates the meaning of non-discrimination. Fifth, the aspects of object and subject are: arising in the aspects of what is grasped and what grasps. If divided, the object to be grasped appears as a real thing, which is the aspect of phenomena, and its nature of emptiness, which is the aspect of reality. Object and non-object are the consciousness that is the subject. Although it appears in the object, it is ultimately free from all grasping, and the sublime wisdom that does not appear in the object and transcends words. In the former it says: There are two kinds of objects,
