These skills arise from the very movement of the wind and reside within the channels of the body mandala. So it is said. The seventh is the measure: The measure of the wisdom of the fundamental abiding is that it abides in the warm measure of equal intention. The measure of the wisdom of focused appearance is that wisdom and awareness are mingled, and knowledge and autonomy are attained. The measure of the wisdom of unceasing memory is that, through the unobstructed arising and liberation, accumulation and dissipation are exhausted, and one abides in the intention of natural ease and spontaneous accomplishment, so that awareness is not stolen by circumstances. The measure of the wisdom of individual discernment is that all phenomena of duality are individually separated and brought to finality. The measure of the wisdom of the three modes of engagement is that, having understood the meaning of words, one abides in the self-nature of meaning. Thus it is also said in "The Blazing Lamp": The measure of the self-born wisdom of the fundamental abiding, from the experience of the equality of all phenomena, is the attainment of confidence in the stability of knowledge. Since this nature does not change and always abides in the continuum, it masters the wisdom of the fundamental abiding. This person's body is also light, and all knowledge is clear. The measure of the wisdom of focused appearance is the sign of experiencing the practice of single-pointedness. The light of the five colors of the body mandala arises outward without effort, so that knowledge masters its own ground. The body does not touch the ground. With this, one can digest whatever knowledge is focused on, and even solid objects can be digested. It is the measure of mastering one's own abilities. The measure of the wisdom of unceasing memory is that knowledge does not enter into others. One delights in dwelling alone, always in solitary places, and does not desire to associate with people. Knowledge is single-pointed and unchanging. Even the words spoken by others are devoid of clinging. In the unchanging confidence of view, one feels like walking in the sky. The mind stops where it is focused. Even the circumstances of others cannot change this person. Unconscious knowledge is vast and blissful. The person born with this has mastered the wisdom of unceasing memory. The measure of the wisdom of individual discernment is that the basis of all and the dharmakaya are also, the sign of distinguishing them in this way is like this. Having abandoned attachment to the body, awareness abides where it is focused, and the body becomes like a stone. By distinguishing between mind and wisdom, the doors of the actors are also closed. Who can distinguish between essence and dross? Gross appearances naturally cease, and one practices blissfully in the continuum. Thus

Who distinguishes saṃsāra and nirvāṇa? Erroneous minds cannot arise. Even if they arise, they are neither beneficial nor harmful. Through such self-awareness, the one who establishes saṃsāra and nirvāṇa is the wisdom of discriminating awareness. The three that lead to wisdom are the measure. By uttering one word for all dharmas, knowing its treatise is the extent of the wisdom of hearing. Whatever is contemplated by wisdom, its essence arises blissfully in the continuum, and contemplation arises in the same way. Whatever arises, it is not harmed by conditions, and erroneous thoughts and attachments cease on their own. This is how the wisdom of meditation is attained. So it is said. The eighth is the example of similarity: by looking at any object, one knows and understands it, and burning all afflictions is like fire spreading through grass, like a burning lamp. For example, in dry grass, even if a small spark is encountered, it is like fire burning and spreading through all the grass. Wisdom burns away habitual tendencies. All of this is the lamp of wisdom. So it is said. In the Compendium: Wisdom completely knows the nature of all dharmas, and thus one can truly transcend the suffering of the three realms. As it is said. In the Supreme Vehicle's Treasure of Jewels, it is said: Explaining the categories of the four lamps, which is the thirteenth chapter. Having thus explained the dependent body and its other aggregates of dharmas, now, to establish the nature of the knowledge that depends on it, there are three: the difference between the ālaya and the dharmakāya, the difference between mind and wisdom, and the separate explanation of other distinct dharmas. The first has two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first is: Considering the basis of sentient beings and the basis of the Buddha, the nature of awareness is originally pure and stainless, and the aspect of being defiled by ignorance with stains and conceptual thoughts, becoming the basis of all illusory appearances and illusory perceptions, one should know the two aspects of the ālaya and the dharmakāya. As it is said in the Tantra of Discrimination: The essence of the ālaya and the dharmakāya. So it is said. Among them, the ālaya is distinguished by ignorance, it is the first basis of all minds and mental factors, the dwelling place in between, the final home, becoming the container of habitual tendencies, like a pond. The dharmakāya, on the other hand, is distinguished by the reversal of ignorance, transcending the objects of mind and mental factors, completely pure from all actions and habitual tendencies. The ālaya is: A mixed house.
