Holding, therefore. (This) holds the appearance of form, and gathers colors, etc. From afar, one can see the body of awareness, it is the seer, it is the holder. From the aspect of samsaric discrimination, it is called "distance" because it throws far away. Similarly, from the aspect of non-awakening, it is "distance" because it abandons nirvana. Similarly, from the aspect of samsaric appearance, form and the five desires, etc., are "lasso" because they are bound by this. For the appearance that appears to the senses, memory and thought hold as self, so "lasso" holds from afar. Similarly, for the cloudless sky, awareness appears as the body of selflessness, for not allowing appearances to increase, it is called "lasso" because it holds with this. Water, for those appearances, if attachment returns to itself, for all without attachment, appearance abides in itself, it is called "water" because it is free from self-grasping. Lamp is all its own appearances, increasing from above, because the wisdom of awareness is bright, it is "lamp." All coarse element appearances, self-knowing enjoyment is unobstructed, and bright in the self-door of the senses, so it is "lamp." Awareness abides in the outer realm, the inner realm is naturally pure and appears. Because this arises the appearance of experience, realm and awareness are mixed, so it is also "Ma." The essence of all senses is also, because the door of appearance is the eye, it is called "basis of both." Thus it is said. Third, if classified, there are three: the far lasso water lamp of assembled elements, from the essence of wind, like the horn of a grass root. The far lasso water lamp of assembled wisdom, is the clear light channel, holding the color of wisdom, not holding confused appearances. The far lasso water lamp of assembled senses, is the essence of the five senses, in the middle of the pupil of the eye, arises the basis of the senses clear, able to see form, not seeing confused appearances, seeing the appearance of wisdom. Among them, the real water lamp is that of assembled wisdom, the other two are established from the aspect of being the basis of that, because the real lamp holds the appearance of nirvana, and is contrary to the substance of samsara. Knowing this is important. Again, from that it is said, there are three types of classification. The far lasso water lamp of the natural assembly of element essence, and the far lasso of assembled wisdom, and the far lasso of assembled senses. Thus it is said. Fourth, in terms of characteristics, the general characteristic

Because the appearance of form arises as something that can be grasped, it is the appearance of an object. Its own nature has three aspects: the nature of the far-reaching net of the aggregation of the elements, abiding in the state of appearance, gathering, holding, and expanding; the nature of the aggregation of wisdom, clearly holding the self-appearance of clear light; the nature of the aggregation of the senses, holding the appearance, the object of appearance, and the self-awareness of eye consciousness. Among these, appearance refers to: previously appearing as an object, established upon mountains and so on. The object of appearance refers to: the self-characteristic of things, such as rocks and so on. Appearance is consciousness, it is the aspect of being free from conceptualization and of symbolic names, while the object of appearance is the self-characteristic of things, abiding in material objects and so on. Furthermore, it says in that very text: This is the nature of this, in this way, because the action of manifestation is without cessation, in the gate of the pure eye of the senses, because it arises, it abides in the lotus eye. Its own nature holds the senses, from the elements appear throwing, gathering, holding, and expanding, from wisdom are seeing, abiding, and holding the upper one. The senses, with objects and object-possessors, and non-objects, all are self-held. Thus it is said. Among these, objects are forms that can appear. Object-possessors are sense consciousnesses. Non-objects are: the clear appearance of non-existence, such as the appearance of a double moon and so on. The fifth is the place: that is, the eyeball of the eye. Initially, when the body is formed, within the triangular knot of the navel cord, the eye of the lamp and the eye of the elements are formed, from which arise the basis of the eye sense, the sense, and the purity of the light channels, from the navel to the heart, from the heart to the vertebral leaves, from the marrow of the brain inside the two ears to the eyeballs of the two eyes. Without blood vessels and serum, the two horn-like structures of the ewe, filled inside with threads of light, pierce into the lamp of the water eye. That is also because the two light channels within the two channels truly abide in the far-reaching lamp of water. It says in that very text: This place is the eye, with the seer without cessation, holding all objects, from the white cochlea of the brain, there are three coils to the right, the channel is the shape of a ewe's horn, all the purity of the senses is gathered, within the channel that manifests in the object of the senses abides this. Thus it is said. That channel also has one root upwards at the lobe of the lung, inside the moving skull, then the two left and right branches of the three branches pierce into the two eyes, the central one pierces into the Brahma's hole.
