The spontaneously accomplished nature of Suchness, free from elaboration and impartial, abides in the wisdom of Samantabhadra and is the unchanging ground. Emptiness is: appearing as the wisdom that grasps at characteristics, therefore the dharma that grasps at the self-nature of things is also empty. Emptiness appears in the wisdom that is like a mirror, the basis of clear light. Emptiness, in which direction, division, center, and edge are not perceived, abides in the wisdom of cessation. In the state of emptiness without partiality, all conceptual thoughts vanish, and it does not linger in the wisdom of individual discrimination. Emptiness transcends effort, therefore it is liberated in the wisdom of accomplishing activities. Emptiness, unwavering from the mandala of one, therefore the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu gathers, and it is called the wisdom free from elaboration. The lamp is: the wisdom gathered by knowledge. That is also the wisdom gathered by the worldly knowledge that is inseparable from the nature of phenomena, and the wisdom of knowledge gathered by the transcendence that cannot be cultivated in the nature of phenomena that is pure from the beginning, where nothing needs to be abandoned at the base, and the wisdom gathered by the knowable by seeing the uncreated and natural root, and the wisdom gathered by seeing in the direct perception of the clear light senses, and the wisdom gathered by seeing how and how much the objects and aspects are, and the wisdom gathered by intelligence. The knowledge of the self-born wisdom lamp is: movement, memory, discrimination, thought, etc. Among the movements, there are two: the movement of wind and the movement of mind. The wind has already been mentioned above. There are six movements of mind: the movement of mind that seeks everywhere arises in the causes, conditions, actions, and results of karma and different afflictions. The movement of mind that determines arises in all movements inside and outside, therefore arising as I, mine, other, both, and neither. The movement of mind that establishes certainty moves by thinking of one and two, etc., therefore it enters and grasps everything without mixing self, other, appearance and emptiness, and individual differences. The movement of the consciousness of mind thinks of various appearances with one consciousness in different objects, and makes mind two, etc. The movement of the afflicted mind is desire, drowsiness, anger.
