arises. That is, from the part that goes outward, the appearance of day arises; from the part that fills inward, the appearance of night arises. Thus, the four actions performed by the two, counted in pairs, become eight. Those, if counted by parts, abide in twenty-four. From the differences of karma winds, twelve are the twelve actions of transformation, which perform the actions of increasing and decreasing the body. Therefore, there are twelve years, twelve months within, and twelve times in secret. Thereafter, the various actions of samsara are performed by the winds of karma. The third is the measure of transformation: Thus, when the body matures and the age reaches adulthood, the measure of transformation of the winds of the four elements in one day and night is: the earth wind has five thousand four hundred, and the winds of water, fire, and wind also each have five thousand four hundred, totaling twenty-one thousand six hundred, which is the definite measure of transformation of an adult. Young people lack thirty-two because the elements have not fully developed. If calculating the lifespan when the wind element is dormant, if the movement of the wind is long, it can sustain until the end of life, but if it is short, it cannot sustain. If it is strong, one possesses merit and enjoyment, but if it is slow, diseases increase and there is suffering. If it is slow, there are few diseases in the retinue. If it is sluggish, the body is numb and a mind of virtue does not arise. If it is stagnant, it is always bad and in a state of decline. If it is rough, the mind is rough and one is not kind to beings. Also, the elderly lack fifty-eight because the ranks of the elements have declined. If this is very rough, the lifespan ends quickly. If one is immersed, there is suffering, immersed in sorrow and lamentation. If one is wavering, the mind does not enter into reality and one engages in non-virtuous deeds. If it is slow, the lifespan is extended and there is always happiness. If it is still, the root of strife and quarrels will never arise. If it is crooked, one always likes to work and the lifespan is short. If it changes, there is great enjoyment and many diseases. If it is contrary, the actions of body and speech cannot be accomplished. If it increases, the actions of pacification and increase are quickly accomplished. In short, enemies flourish on the body and there is always suffering. A gap shows good and bad. If an adult lacks three hundred, the lifespan ends in one year. If one lacks fifty, it is two years. If one lacks thirty-two, it is three years. If one lacks twenty-one, it is four years. If one lacks one-eighth

If it is less than seven months, then it is five months. If it is less than a quarter, then it is one month. If it is less than one-tenth, then it is twenty-nine days. If it is less than twenty, then it is eighteen days. If it is less than thirty, then it is ten days. If it is less than forty, then it is seven days. If it is less than sixty, then it is five days. Thus, in the calculation of wind, there are two types: mundane and deceased. Mundane refers to lifespan, merit, happiness, suffering, and so on. Deceased refers to the amount of change and the time of transfer. The amount of change is: daytime changes into twelve parts, and nighttime changes into sixteen parts. Daytime is the activity of various elements, the horse of numerous thoughts of happiness, suffering, good, and non-good. Nighttime is also similar to that, but it increases the wind of wisdom. The time of transfer has already been explained. The third meaning is the detailed classification of the abiding bindu. In the 'Destruction Treatise,' it says: Wanting to explain the nature of the bindu, from the conventional and the ultimate, temporarily relying on the conventional bindu, those who desire to become Buddhas, if they see a consort with perfect marks, such as gods, non-gods, Brahma, or even a low-caste heretic, they must definitely begin the practice of attraction, relying on oneself and the channels, as well as the complete body of the object of focus. Then, the conventional bindu itself is lowered, held, and reversed, placed in the channels, mixed with the wind, relying on emptiness, cutting off conceptual thoughts, body and mind are mutually reversed. By relying on the ultimate bindu, one can find the realm of the empty Dharmakaya. The lamp of the empty bindu itself is filled, training the skills of wisdom. If one practices diligently day and night, then this itself will appear effortlessly. That is the measure of accomplishment. It is said. The near path of secret mantra is the key to combining the three: channels, bindu, and wind. This has two types: the method with effort and elaboration, and the method without effort and free from elaboration. Through elaboration, the coarse channels and wind are made into the path through effort. Temporarily, the conventional bindu is made into yoga, searching for a consort, attracting, relying, searching for the channels, holding, performing union, actually lowering the bindu, holding, reversing, establishing the channels, mixing with the wind, becoming the nature of reality.
