Because it is not established. Also, from the perspective of apparent conventionality, it is spontaneously accomplished, and from the perspective of emptiness ultimate reality, it is primordially pure, merely expressed in words. These two are not different entities, so they do not change separately, because the essence is one, and the reverse is different, so it is not a person, because it possesses vows, so it is ordained, so the two are not contradictory. The answers to these disputes are also, In the "Six Spaces" it says: "The essence itself is primordially pure, The samsara of sentient beings is unreasonable. Because the defilement of ignorance is exhausted, The teacher said is a great being. Because the nature is spontaneously accomplished, It also appears as uninterrupted play. The being himself also reported: If the nature itself is spontaneously accomplished, These sentient beings are naturally liberated. Because it is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, The teacher said these sentient beings, The essence is pure from the beginning, Those who are liberated also appear as play. The Bodhisattva also reported: The essence itself is primordially pure, Spontaneous accomplishment also becomes meaningless. Or because of spontaneous accomplishment, Primordial purity becomes non-existent. The teacher said the way of dwelling, There is no word to express it, Because it is separated from the sound of expression, Because there is no establishment of any essence, Words have no harm to this. Sentient beings' self-grasping mind realm, Various memories and thoughts are uninterrupted, Verbal harm has no difference in essence. Ultimate and conventional terms." So it is said. The second meaning is the specific explanation of the unsurpassed basis, which has three parts: a common brief explanation, a detailed explanation of each part, and a summary of the meaning. The first is: the original basis, the essence of which is primordially pure, like a flawless crystal ball, the nature of which is not formed into things and characteristics, is spontaneously accomplished, and there is a subtle self-light deep within the white, but because there is no cause, it does not appear externally. Outwardly, it appears as the abode of the youthful vase body, the essence of which is empty because it is primordially pure, and although there is no thing, the subtle awareness of the original radiance of self-light is not obstructed and exists naturally. Because the nature is spontaneously accomplished, although it abides in the plan of all appearances, the face of oneself appearing outwardly as light, body, and color with characteristics and patterns is not visible, in the space of the essence of primordial purity, the original radiance of the nature of spontaneous accomplishment, the deep, clear, subtle self-light together with wisdom, is one and different.

And, in a manner that is not separate, the radiant and glorious spontaneously accomplished precious treasury, the realm of the youthful vase body, the essence, nature, and compassion, the three self-natures, abide supremely. Because the essence is emptiness, things and characteristics are not established. Because the nature is luminosity, the inherent sound of appearance is not abandoned. Because of compassionate awareness, the plan for knowledge to expand into wisdom remains unceasingly. From the great Tantra of Auspicious Beauty: Before the enlightened Buddha appeared, before sentient beings who have not realized appeared, the wisdom of self-arising awareness has not moved from its base, and abides together with the three unconditioned appearances. Then again, the wisdom of awareness itself spoke of this reality of its own way of abiding. O, this vast expanse of great appearance is the great Dharmakaya that does not move, abiding as the great Buddha without error. The essence body abides without ceasing, the essence does not change, the means are secret, unmoved, unmoving, unmoving. All appearances are perfected at once, all wisdoms are perfected in an instant, all bodies abide in maturity, all appearances of light are clear without obscuration. In the appearance of reality, the unobscured mode of appearance, the essence, nature, and compassion, the three are completely perfect and vast without interruption. That great reality of essence also abides like a body, but there is nothing there that one would want to be a mouth, eyes, or ears. It abides like emptiness, but there is nothing there that one would want to be like empty space. It appears greatly like the five lights, but there is nothing there that one would want to divide into colors. It appears without interruption, but there is nothing there that one would want to be like a connection. One contemplates it as without beginning or end, but there is nothing there that one would want to contemplate in a certain direction. It appears as if unpolluted by parts, but there is nothing there that one would want to divide into categories. It appears as if adorned without ceasing, but there is nothing there that one would want to be above or below in a high place. The appearance of nature is: it appears like vastness but is without partiality, it appears like clarity but is without substance, it appears like blue but is undivided, it appears like white but does not hold to order, it appears like yellow but is perfect in qualities, it appears like red but its awareness is unceasing, it appears like green but is perfect in qualities, it abides in the five colors themselves but does not hold to the great color. Like a circle, it is without shape, unceasing and without conditions.
