Previously spoken. These are just partial attractions. In order to prove that everything is real. Because there will be endless faults. Isn't this something that should be understood? What the Buddha said is the same as before. Thus it is said. The sixth also states the acceptance: It is believed that the essence manifests universally, so various colorful phenomena appear. Second, refute it: Is this variety considered an external appearance? Or is it considered internal consciousness? Or is it considered a combination of the two? According to the first, just as the appearance is colorful, that single base also has the fault of appearing outwardly as colorful. According to the second, just as consciousness is momentary, the base should also become momentary, and just as consciousness has many thoughtful realizations, the base should also become like that, and just as consciousness is subject to afflictive causes, the base should also become like that. According to the third, the base will become internal and external, the base will become the object and the subject, and the base will become the six consciousnesses, becoming one side to be abandoned. Also, it is unreasonable for the base to be one in the realm of phenomena, because it is a collection of many. These and other faults are: In the Six Spaces it is said: The Buddha spoke of colorfulness above. This is also inconsistent with the partial. Whose essence is the appearance. The fruits are different, the meanings are the same. Because of the word "many" it is lost. Isn't this something that should be understood? What is said is the same. Thus it is said. The seventh also states the view: The self-arisen wisdom of awareness is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, so even mere awareness cannot be established. From the perspective of the great bindu free from elaboration, it is believed that it cannot be established anywhere. Second, refute it: If nothing can be established like that, and there is no mere awareness, it is originally pure, so if there is nothing in the reality that cannot be established anywhere, then it contradicts the realm where samsara and nirvana arise. If there is no awareness, then there is no liberation of Buddhas and sentient beings, so it is unreasonable to be liberated from realizing the base. If there is no subtle five lights, then there is no cause for the base to appear, so it is unreasonable for the base appearance to arise from that. The deluded mind of non-awareness is unreasonable, because in the Six Spaces it is said: The essence is naturally pure, so the samsara of sentient beings is unreasonable. The defilement of ignorance is originally exhausted. This is the same as the previous six bases. Third, in one's own school, establishing the base that is originally pure, spontaneously accomplished, and undifferentiated, is divided into the actual meaning and the refutation of arguments against it. The first is

Because the primordially pure (ཀ་དག་,kadag) has the profound clarity of spontaneous presence (ལྷུན་གྲུབ་,lhun grub), the wisdom of the primordially pure nature of indivisibility is not established as an object or a sign. The subtle, clear light of self-existing nature dwells inwardly. The essence of appearance is emptiness, and the nature of emptiness is the essence of clarity, which is wisdom. Body and wisdom are inseparable from the beginning, dwelling like the essence of the sun. Essence is pure from the beginning, and nature is spontaneously accomplished, considered to be indivisible. As the "Self-Arisen" states: "The ground is spoken of as twofold: the ground of great primordial purity and the ground of various spontaneous presences." And as the "Six Spaces" states: "Essence is primordially pure, and nature is spontaneously present." And as the "Pearl Garland" states: "Essence is primordially pure, beyond expression; nature is spontaneously present, complete in whatever appears." So it is. Secondly, refuting the arguments against this is divided into two: number and self-nature. The first is divided into two: argument and answer. The argument is: the fault of becoming eight grounds. The answer is: primordial purity and spontaneous presence are considered inseparable because they are included in the seven grounds, so we do not want anything contrary to this. Therefore, there is no fault of becoming eight grounds. Moreover, it does not contradict "self-nature is pure from the beginning" because essence is considered primordially pure, so it is related. Secondly, arguing and answering about the inseparability of self-nature primordial purity and spontaneous presence is divided into two. First, presenting the argument: primordial purity and spontaneous presence each have faults. If self-nature is primordially pure, then since there has never been samsara, it is unreasonable for sentient beings to arise with delusion. If self-nature is spontaneously present, then everyone would be primordially liberated effortlessly. And, primordial purity and spontaneous presence become contradictory things on the same ground. The answer is: because essence is pure from the beginning, sentient beings do not have samsara, but the power or play of spontaneous presence appearing in that way is not contradictory. Just as the self-nature of consciousness before falling asleep and during sleep does not have dreams, but the appearance of horses and cows is not contradictory. Moreover, the appearance as sentient beings is merely a play of illusion, not established in the essence of meaning, so it is already primordially liberated. In relative appearance, through the power of eye mantras, the appearance as horses and cows is liberated. By effortlessly leaving it in its own place, it naturally abides in itself, just as a stone returns to the earth. From the time it appears liberated in the dharmadhatu, the appearance of returning is merely returning, and there is nothing newly created as liberation, because bondage
