Like that. Here, regarding directly recognizing naked awareness as the target, there are two methods. Pointing it out without relying on the key points is: Do not expand outwards, do not grasp inwards, do not place in the middle. "Do not modify with the mind, the uninterrupted, vast awareness that does not turn into conceptual thought exists at all times. When the teacher and student are in a state of stillness for a moment, pointing out that expectation of naked manifestation with the attitude of blessing, thereby seeing the naked truth. That is the Dharmakaya. (1) The key is to cultivate in a state of generating certainty, without meditating, and without distraction. There are six types of key pointings. Pointing out by holding the mind is: the body's key point is the lotus posture, the breath's key point is slow, the eyes are wide open, and when the mind is not thinking and abiding, the clarity and abiding of the clear and bright abiding are experiences, so separate them, and point out the part of awakening and nakedness as the Dharmakaya. Pointing out by abiding in the mind is: although the mind is not held, when it naturally abides in its own place, let go of the abiding part, and point out the awakening and bright part as the Dharmakaya." "Like that. Pointing out by cutting off the root is: tracing the mind inwards, investigating where it comes from and where it abides, and ultimately finding nothing, when it disappears nakedly and openly, let go of the disappearance without any thought, and point out the awakening, naked, and transcendent part of words as the Dharmakaya. Pointing out by tracing things is: when the mind scatters to external objects, decompose the external objects, such as branches, fragments, etc., and trace which direction the mind abides in. When there is no external object and no mind, and it is in an unspeakable state of emptiness and clarity, let go of the abiding part without any distraction, and point out the part of awareness, nakedness, and openness as the Dharmakaya. Pointing out between object and consciousness is: when awareness manifests in external objects, after abiding quietly, do not think about external objects, nor look inward at the mind, when it is openly released without interruption, let go of the openly abiding part, and point out the bright and clear awareness as the Dharmakaya." "Like that. Pointing out by letting go in distraction is: being in an ordinary state for a moment, engaging in idle chatter and other activities, allowing awareness to be in the gap of distraction, when saying words like "Hasaraki", the awareness that does not know what is being said, suddenly a state of blank awakening arises, let go of the blank abiding part, and point out that awakening, bright, and nakedly manifesting Dharmakaya.

Or abide here, or depart. When departing reaches its limit, return. Upon returning, settle that undistracted awareness. Recognize the naked awareness as the Dharmakaya. In short, whether using the means of channels, energies, and drops, or any other method, whether it's the relaxation of the mind or abiding, whatever means are employed, when awareness, like a clear crystal ball, emerges naked, free from thought, recognize it as the Dharmakaya, the great expanse. Here, it's necessary to distinguish between clarity and dullness. Dullness is a state of abiding, while the Dharmakaya is the separation of clear awareness from the state of abiding. It's not mixed with appearance-emptiness, clarity-bliss, non-conceptuality, etc., but is naked awareness. Therefore, there's a difference between transparency and non-transparency, awareness and the state of abiding. There's no confusion. These key points are also mentioned in the Madhyamaka: "The mind is the object and the abiding, cutting the root and chasing after things, searching between object and awareness, all are scattered and lost." The uncultivated, naked, transparent awareness is the key here. Its nature is free from the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding. It's the great inexpressible, inconceivable, the great Dharma-exhausted, name-extinguished, beyond good and evil, merit and fault, the great primordial purity. Recognize it as such, not considering it empty like space. The way of introducing it is different from others. The Madhyamaka and other schools focus on the universality of the nature of phenomena, where nothing is established, and measure non-arising, etc. But in the Mind Stream school, all appearances and awareness are measured as never having existed and never not having existed. Therefore, it's easy to fall into the fault of losing the inherent nature of universality. Here, no method can fully represent it. The nature emerges nakedly transparent, converging into a single, non-elaborate state. Therefore, there's no confusion or obscuration, and a definitive conclusion is reached. There's no confusion about the nature; it's the state of Dharma-exhausted, name-extinguished. The yogi who realizes this way abides in the yoga of realization, a continuous stream. Therefore, samsara is shown to be liberated into namelessness. As it is said in the scriptures: "Like a chick with fully grown wings in the egg, Freed from constraints, it abides in the expanse of space. Subduing the nagas, it overcomes dangerous places with power. The fortunate yogi who truly realizes The Vajra Essence, the pinnacle of the supreme vehicle, Is not of the lesser vehicle."
