Just as dense clouds in the sky obscure the sun, the self-display of awareness stirs in the ground appearance, but without recognizing it as itself, it is grasped as self and other. From this, the illusory appearances of play manifesting on the face of mind and minds arise as the vessel and essence of phenomenal existence. The three doors of body, speech, and mind obscure the body, speech, and mind of awareness, which is inherently abiding as the Buddha. Because it is not visible, the delusion of the six realms is called the appearance of the deluded mind. That is to say, the impurity of the self-display of awareness itself and its play obscure awareness itself. From the "Lion's Roar Perfection," it is said: "The Buddha himself is obscured by the Buddha himself. The wisdom of the three clear eyes is purified in its own place." It is said that the very thing that obscures the power and play of awareness itself is also the very sun that arises as the remedy. As the wind moves and disperses the clouds by the power of sunlight, the play appears as an ornament from the realization of one's own face. Delusion is primordially liberated, and it is liberated in its own place. Delusive appearances and delusive grasping are not abandoned but purified in the expanse. The spontaneously accomplished sun of body and wisdom rises in the clear sky, with no trace of where it has gone. It does not come from elsewhere, but is merely the purification of self-appearance. The sun is not obscured, and it shines naturally in the center of the sky, which also depends on the sun itself. The sunlight shines and moves the wind that universally obstructs, and the wind rises while abiding in its own place. The clouds are lost in the sky, like the sun shining brightly. Because the door of self-display of awareness from the heart essence of the Dharmakaya is not blocked, the realization of one's own face arises, and thus the play of appearances and mind is known to be rootless and baseless, the self-nature of emptiness. Seeing that there is no need to accept or reject, it is left as it is. These appearances and mind are self-liberated by themselves, appearing as the adornment of wisdom. Without abandoning, they are purified in their own place. There is no place to go where they have gone, and the goer vanishes without a basis. The spontaneous accomplishment arises on one's own face as an inherent quality, simultaneously. That is to say, for those who are diligent, all the inner and outer obstacles are purified in this very life, and the three bodies appear in self-appearance. In the ground expanse of primordial purity, when the fruit is obtained as a single unity, one's own face appears as the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya from the Dharmakaya, and the two benefits for beings are spontaneously accomplished. Furthermore, the Dharmakaya of the expanse does not move from the nature of reality.

From the realm of that which is neither divided nor indivisible, there is no basis for designating something as a Buddha with various characteristics. The basis for the manifestation of all form bodies also appears spontaneously in the eyes of those to be tamed, without any before or after in a single moment. The appearance of the Buddha as a means of taming sentient beings, and sentient beings appearing as objects to be tamed by the Buddha, this is the pure dependent arising that establishes a connection between compassion and the place of entry. As stated in the Prasangika: "The nature of the Buddhas is in the undivided, indivisible, and equal state. Where could there be sounds, words, names?" "The basis is self-purifying, and delusions are dispelled." "Samsara and Nirvana are not established as names. There is no arising, no birth, and no cessation. It is not the all-producing wisdom. There is no taking and no going. In a moment free from causes and conditions, Buddhas and sentient beings appear as the basis. It is free from multiplicity and parts." So it is said. The reason why a yogi who realizes his own nature by being free from the bondage of a coarse body attains Buddhahood is explained as follows: A twice-born bird develops its wings inside the egg. Like being wrapped in an eggshell, it is not visible now. But when the eggshell breaks, it can fly in the sky. Although the outflows of grasping and clinging have been exhausted before, because the remaining contaminated results and the eggshell have not completely broken, the spontaneously accomplished awareness is self-luminous and self-manifesting. The light of body and wisdom pervades the sky. Realizing one's own nature, one is liberated in the realm of Kuntuzangpo. Just as a Garuda chick completes its wings inside the egg, and as soon as it breaks out of the egg, it can fly into the sky, so too, the yogi of the Great Perfection of naturalness, having perfected the wings of realization from the bondage of the coarse body, although the outflows of clinging to grasping and clinging are exhausted in this life, because he has not separated from the coarse, contaminated result of the ripened body, he cannot truly and extensively manifest the qualities of body and wisdom. But when he is free from the coarse body, in the Bardo of the purity of Dharmata, when the self-manifesting light of body and wisdom fills the appearance, realizing his own nature, he is liberated in the realm of Kuntuzangpo. As stated in the "Lion's Roar Perfection": "If there is no clinging to self, one meets the Mother of Dharmata. If the knots of the aggregates are untied, the bonds of clinging are cut. If the empty shell of habits is abandoned, one revolves in the realm of Dharmata. If one sees the self-born wisdom, the heavy rope of the aggregates is cut."
