Entering. "As it is said." That is, how things appear, their nature is emptiness, transcending truth and falsehood, and because they are not fixed to various things, they are emptiness. The uncertain and various things are the collection of clear appearances that arise from skill without cause or condition, appearing as dependent origination. These illusory plays have a distant cause, which is the beginningless habit existing in the Alaya consciousness, aroused by karma and afflictions. The near cause is merely a temporary collection. For example, a deity appearing as an enemy has a distant cause of karma and habit, and a near cause of unreasonable elements temporarily created, just as appearing as an enemy. The appearance of vessel and essence, pleasure and pain, these arise temporarily from causes and conditions, and are unreal empty forms. If they were real, they would arise independently of causes and conditions. Therefore, appearing as various things is emptiness. The Consequence School says: Furthermore, the nature of reality and self-nature are explained. This kind of thing is not fixed as one, and however it is examined, it appears that way. Various names are on the basis of imputation, appearing as the proliferation of many words. "Uncertain names are from various things, and their meaning is empty by mere examination. Since emptiness is not established anywhere, it appears as self-nature purity." As it is said. Before the Holy Lord of the Nagas (Nagarjuna) said: Apart from dependence and origination, there are no other dharmas. Therefore, apart from emptiness, there are no other dharmas. As it is said. Some say that meditating on a deity brings accomplishment, and meditating on impermanence and so on produces results. If these are combined, they appear to be newly produced, so are they not true in that and that? Here it is said that it appears to be established merely because it is temporary, so it is unreal. Because it is not real if not meditated upon, it appears as meditation and so on. However, because the power of conceptualization is strong, for a while, as examined, it seems to change due to that and that cause and condition, but the ultimate truth of the nature of reality does not change even by a hair's breadth. Just as a child's game temporarily appears to change, but in reality does not change, and the appearance of illusion temporarily appears to change, but eventually disappears, so in reality it does not change. When appearing as delusion and non-delusion, for a while, wisdom seems to change, but in reality, from the nature of reality, not even a single hair
