To generate diligence in order to purify the two obscurations of others, to consider accumulating one's own two accumulations as secondary, to generate diligence in order to accumulate the two accumulations of others, whoever acts in this way quickly accomplishes their own benefit. The six intentions that are difficult to fathom are: To summarize all the actions of all the bodhisattvas into one, thinking "I have practiced"; When I attain enlightenment, all the common activities of the Sugatas, thinking "I will accomplish"; For each and every sentient being, thinking "I will endure suffering for countless eons"; What the bodhisattvas have not been able to practice, thinking "I have practiced the extremely difficult task of benefiting sentient beings"; In each of the immeasurable realms, thinking "I will accomplish immeasurable Buddha activities"; If I do not complete these, thinking "I will deceive all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas", these six great armors should be constantly worn. The six armors that cannot be overcome by demons are: Fishermen, butchers, farmers, soldiers, merchants, and servants, just for the sake of survival, abandoning their cherished lives, constantly accomplishing without laziness, seeing these six examples, for the sake of immeasurable beings, generate diligence in practicing the difficult to obtain enlightenment. The six dharmas that advise abandoning the six demons are: Abandoning the path of liberation, generating bodhicitta, benefiting others, meditation and practice, if one accomplishes self-interest and fame, it is the demon of gain and fame. One's own continuum has not transcended the ordinary state, engaging in verbal disputes with the qualities of realization of the noble ones, is the demon of arrogance. Postponing single-pointed meditation to the future, hoping for results is the demon of hope and laziness. Completely abandoning reliance on secluded mountain cliffs, craving for profit, farming, and lending is the demon of greed. Completely abandoning listening, thinking, and meditating on scriptures, reasoning, and instructions, foolish meditation, mental discrimination, and boastful talk are the demons of ignorance. Hiding one's own faults, and for the faults of others, even if they do not exist, falsely accusing and scolding is the demon of jealousy. It is extremely important that one's own continuum is not controlled by demons. The six dharmas that are immovable and liberated from faults are: The mind of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas is immovable, like the king of mountains; afflictions and conceptual thoughts are immovable, like space; the bonds of gain and respect are immovable, like the noble ones; sickness and suffering are immovable, like the earth; hunger, thirst, heat, and cold are immovable, like the ocean; harm from demons and obstacles is immovable, like a firestorm.
