Gather together! Wealth and prosperity will come spontaneously without seeking. Meditate on the Buddha's intention, without separation. Illusory appearances and self-grasping will naturally become empty. If you practice according to the scriptures, it will surely be so. To contemplate well the six necessary dharmas is: To feel revulsion for the illusion of samsara, you need aversion like seeing a rotten corpse or a swamp. To be wary of non-virtuous and evil deeds, you need to be as cautious as a newly arrived bride. When regret arises for non-dharmic actions, you need to remember the suffering like a person who has drunk poison. To be able to subdue afflictions, you need an antidote like the king of beasts. To be able to dissolve whatever thoughts arise in their own place, you need a meeting like a drop of salt in water. To be able to clearly distinguish between dharma and non-dharma, you need wisdom like the beak of a swan. If you possess these six, you are in accord with all the sacred dharmas. The six dharmas needed for the best yogi are: View needs to be like a king, taking possession of the ground. Conduct needs to be like a minister, knowing the time. Guarding vows needs to be like a gatekeeper, able to withstand conditions. Wisdom needs to be like a servant, all-pervasive. Thoughts need to be like clouds, self-dissolving. Qualities need to be like a treasure house, having everything. If you possess these, the two benefits will be spontaneously accomplished. The six sacred dharmas for accomplishing goodness are: If you want to be a king among lords, encourage yourself in the dharma. If you want to be a king of heroes, crush the army of afflictions. If you want to be a king of leaders, follow the commands, decrees, and deliberations of the dharma. If you want to be a king of power, subdue the demon of self-grasping. If you want to be a wealthy king, accumulate the two accumulations and enjoyments. If you want to be a king of physicians, remove the chronic disease of your own faults. If you know this, you will become the lord of gods and humans. The six dharmas for being cautious of enemies are: When renunciation and faith arise in the dharma, relatives, friendships, advice, and affection will rise as enemies. When abandoning all worldly activities, attachment, clinging, and entanglement will rise as your own enemies. When practicing dharma and giving food and wealth, jealousy, arrogance, and pride will rise as enemies. When taking the profound instructions to heart, doubt, hesitation, and uncertainty will rise as enemies. When the signs of increasing warmth of experience arise, attachment, clinging, and fixation will rise as enemies.

When the door to manifesting various qualities is opened, pride, arrogance, and self-conceit arise like enemies. It is essential to be cautious and vigilant against the arising enemy. Loving-kindness and patience are the supreme armor for practice. The six names given to a Dharma practitioner (1) are: If one can tame oneself into Dharma, then one is a brave one. If one can engage the three doors (body, speech, and mind) in virtue, then one is a faithful one. If one is without deceit and hypocrisy, then one is a good one. If one can discern the wrong path, then one is a wise one. If one spends one's life with Dharma, then one is a meaningful one. If one has great altruism and compassion, then one is a Mahayana practitioner. One should learn the conduct of the holy ones. The six Dharmas for liberation from the ocean of suffering are: Having obtained the rare human body and encountering the Dharma. Meeting a qualified Lama and gaining devotion. Abandoning worldly activities and being without distractions. Holding profound instructions and being without error. Spending time with virtuous conduct and being without laziness. Great bliss spontaneously accomplished and being without clinging. If one possesses these six, suffering cannot arise. The instructions on the six consciousnesses are: If one feels weary in solitude and cannot stay alone, then one knows that there is no practice of mind-holding, etc. If one does not know how to associate with many people, then one knows that one is unskilled in means and one's own mindstream is bad. Even if one relies on a Lama but does not abandon what is not Dharma, then one knows that one has not been infected by the Lama's blessings and qualities. If one is arrogant and untamed, and has great pride, then one knows that one does not value experience and has not realized the true nature. If one has little instruction and great laziness, then one knows that one cannot escape samsara and wanders. If one clings to self-interest and has no compassion, then one knows that one does not have the Mahayana path and Bodhicitta. By relying on external signs to understand the internal state, One should abandon wrong actions that are not in accordance with the Dharma. The categories of the six wastes are explained as: Not fearing the lower realms, creating evil deeds, etc. Wasting the rare leisure and endowments of the human body. After entering the door of Dharma, creating bias and attachment. Wasting faith in the true meaning. Holding the pride of hearing and thinking words like a rigid stone. Wasting the wisdom of realizing the true nature. Abandoning the practice of profound secret mantras, wasting meaningless diligence and asceticism. Abandoning the supreme wisdom of union and non-duality, wasting the practice of clinging to the extremes of appearance and emptiness. Abandoning the solitary places on the mountainside, etc., which are places for accomplishing Dharma, wasting the pursuit of accomplishments by going to monasteries and villages. Therefore, one should...
