Look at the knowledge of self-nature. Knowing happiness and suffering as equal in cause and effect, One will surely be liberated into the indivisible state of acceptance and rejection. Look at the unborn state of the uncontaminated essence. Knowing the self-nature of mind as the nature of all appearances, One will surely gradually enter the mind and merge into the unborn state. Look at the face of post-meditation awareness after rising from equipoise. Knowing the mind itself as inseparable from meaning, One will surely merge into the state of indivisible equipoise and post-meditation. After that, look at the self-nature of whatever arises as conceptual thought. Knowing that whatever afflictions arise are self-pacified, One will surely unite the appearance of awareness with the initial ground. Look at the union of practice, essence, and post-meditation as one. Knowing that all three are the path of action without trace, One will surely realize the key point of the nature of the three times. Knowing this way, post-meditation awareness will reveal the nature of reality. Explaining the self-nature that possesses six qualities: Fearing the suffering of samsara and seeking refuge, Taming the mind with faith and following in the footsteps of the victorious ones. Valuing merit, practicing generosity, and striving for the two accumulations. Applying the whip of diligence, striving day and night for virtue. Having shame and embarrassment, willing to give up one's life for the Dharma. Discerning the meaning with wisdom, upholding the Dharma nature of appearance and awareness. Those who fully possess these will cross to the other shore of samsara. The six practices that are definitely necessary: Abandoning the impure mud of this life's activities, How will the thousand-rayed umbrella of liberating wisdom arise? How will the darkness of ignorance be dispelled? How will the sprouts of experience and realization grow? How will the dreamlike appearances of grasping and clinging be purified? How will the jewels of the three kayas of fruition be attained? Keep this in mind, it is the supreme instruction!" "The six dharmas for training in the supreme self-nature are: Abandoning the actions of the deluded body, Abandoning meaningless speech, Abandoning the wandering of the conceptual mind, Abandoning attachment to the self-nature of desirable qualities, Abandoning the distractions of worldly affairs, Abandoning the pretense of holding onto others' minds, Whoever is in accordance with this, the true Dharma will come in accordance with the Dharma. The six dharmas that bind in the box of desire are: Desiring to be free from the mind of elaboration, Desiring the union of bliss and emptiness, Desiring purity like aimless space, Desiring to have the essence of emptiness and wisdom, Desiring to have the house of awareness and light, Desiring the self-born wisdom of primordial liberation.

Like an elephant intoxicated by seeing objects, it is attachment to the characteristics of things seen as self. Therefore, abandon the trap of biased self-view, and in the self-knowing, unbiased nature of neither being nor not being, make a firm decision in the vastness of liberation from extremes." "The six self-cuts of practice are: the self-cut of the consciousness that grasps external objects, the self-cut of the consciousness that grasps internal thoughts, the self-cut of the secret appearance of objects, the self-cut of the unique cutting off of remembrance, the self-cut of the ultimate experience of one's own nature, and the self-cut of the awareness that alternates between meditation and post-meditation. These six, when perfected, lead the view to the exhaustion of concepts. The practice of the six non-transgressions is: one's own body not transgressing the mandala of the victorious ones, the speech of verbal expression not transgressing the benefit of beings, the mind not transgressing the view of the Dharmakaya, the offering activity of food and drink not transgressing the nectar, the activity of going and staying not transgressing the illusory activity, and the practice not transgressing the meaning of the nature of reality. Whoever has trained in these six aspects is using the treasury of the secret, supreme king. The six similes for the nature of samsara are: whatever is, is unreal, like a magical person. Likewise, the various confused appearances are like dreams. When they appear, they have no nature, like the moon in water. Good and bad, happiness and suffering, change like clouds. Feeling and not feeling are impermanent like dew. Self-arising and self-dissolving are like bubbles in water. Thus, it is crucial to apply these to one's own mindstream and meditate. The six similes for the nature of nirvana are: the collection of various mind-essences is like the essence of sunlight. The nature of mind is unstained by faults, like a lotus in mud. Qualities are spontaneously accomplished, like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Self-luminous, unobscured by thoughts, like the sun and moon free from clouds. All-pervasive, without bias, like empty, clear space. Conventional increase and decrease are absent, like the great ocean." "Thus, whoever knows the inseparability of samsara and nirvana is liberated. The six precious encouragements to oneself are: in front of oneself, (1) it is crucial to cut off oneself and enter the Dharma. It is crucial to encourage oneself and apply oneself to virtuous deeds. It is crucial to apply one's own counsel to oneself and rely on the antidote. It is crucial to do one's own work oneself and endure hardship. It is crucial to bring out one's own head oneself and complete the practice. It is crucial to protect one's own relatives oneself and liberate the six realms. Because it is a common instruction
