Meditate on the perception of conduct as play. Whatever you do, meditate on the perception of dreams. Wherever you go, near or far, meditate on the perception of death. If you possess these, you will be liberated from the state of samsara. The instructions on the six precious things are: Cherish your own experience of realizing the meaning of mind itself. Cherish the wisdom of understanding the essential points of the instructions. Cherish the understanding of the meaning of the tenets that resolves difficult points. Cherish the pure morality that is like armor. Cherish the stainless wisdom that cuts through delusion. Cherish the unattached conduct that is free from clinging. The six common dharmas for transforming (adversity) into the path are: Like plugging a leak in butter, practice subtle cause and effect. Like lengthening a rope, strive for the summit of the high place. Like cutting off the crossbar in the middle, place the practice of dharma on the scale. Turn away from the practice of the Lesser Vehicle and generate the mind of enlightenment. The main practice is to refute clinging to reality and understand the absence of inherent existence. Afterwards, transform (the merit) into the path and dedicate it with the purity of the three spheres. If you possess these six, virtuous practice will go on the path. The six dharmas of vast openness are: It won't work with a narrow mind, you must understand the scriptures thoroughly. It won't work to be unrestrained after knowing, you must understand the instructions thoroughly. It won't work to be afraid of the profound, you must understand the tantras thoroughly. It won't work to be bound by words, you must understand the practice thoroughly. It won't work with biased sectarianism, you must understand whatever (sect) thoroughly. It won't work with doubt and hesitation, you must understand certainty thoroughly. If you understand like this, all dharmas will converge into one. The six dharmas for combining with the true meaning are: Whatever you learn, apply it for the benefit of others. With compassion, combine suffering with your own experience. Whatever enjoyment you receive, give it to the sangha. Keep the pure vows of the three vows. Conduct should not be separated from the pure nature of dharma. Pray with devotion and longing. This is the conduct of the holy ones, follow it. The six dharmas for transforming sickness into the path are: By being sick, the bad karma of samsara is exhausted. By being sick, the stains of afflictions are washed away. By being sick, make devout and longing prayers. By being sick, encourage diligence in virtuous practice. By being sick, be united with the path of liberation. By being sick, train skills, develop potential, and clarify goals. Therefore, the wise should transform sickness into the path. The instructions on the six kinds of knowledge are: See the harm-doers, enemies, and ghosts

Seeing the guru as a deity, and close relatives as harm-bringers leading to suffering. Seeing one's own afflictions as enemies and thorns, and ego-clinging as protectors, harm-bringers, and goblins. Seeing unfavorable adverse conditions as aids to the path of liberation, and fame and praise as evil nests of faults. Knowing these are the six extremely important recognitions. The six essential pith instructions of definitive meaning are: In the unborn state, recognize the basis of delusion. When the unceasing arises, cut off delusion at its root. With non-dual realization, reverse samsara. Mind itself is naturally liberated, removing the obstacles of the four extremes. With the view, cut off the source, liberating the confines of samsara and nirvana. With conduct, shoot the arrow, integrating behavior into the path. These are the ultimate heart essence of profound meaning. The six actions that strike the vital point are: Establish the foundation of the person as immutable, not turning back from the Dharma. Have unwavering mind, not being ashamed by others. Have undiminished faith and respect, not being intermittent. Cherish the three trainings, not being stained by transgressions. Always contemplate death, not being completely lazy. When encountering afflictions, naturally liberate them with antidotes. Having these six, all needs will be accomplished. The six instructions for igniting wisdom are: In the state of non-grasping, appearances are clear and distinct. In the state of non-duality, there is equal merging. In the state of clarity, self-radiance is pure. In the state of luminosity, self-illumination is bright. In the state of dharmata, joy blossoms. In the space beyond mind, there is vast expanse. In the unmade nature, great perfection is accomplished. The six dharmas for blending nature with the key points are: In the self-aware, beyond-mind, primordial wisdom. Abiding in the natural state, great luminosity. Tighten when tight, and loosen when loose. Not scattered, not dull, held by mindfulness. In the single taste of impartial equality. The nature that is impartial, like the sky. The dharmakaya, the great mudra, is spontaneously accomplished. The six dharmas of non-abiding, non-changing are: Awareness is empty and clear, free from elaboration. Without being defiled by the stains of grasping and clinging, hope and doubt. Abiding in the natural, original, naked state. Without thinking, acting, meditating, or discriminating. Clear, pure, open, and free. Spontaneously liberated, the ordinary awareness without limits. Pacifies all suffering and elaboration. The six dharmas of the great equality of dharmata are: In awareness that is free from extremes, like the sky. Samsara
