Of generosity. It's amazing to have something to use when needed! If you have devotion, it's amazing to be able to listen to the teachings from the Lama Buddha! If you are seized by profound methods, the five desirable qualities, it's amazing to be liberated by enjoying without abandoning! If you practice diligently, it's amazing for sentient beings to achieve Buddhahood in one lifetime! If you meditate without distraction in the state of realization, it's amazing for the clear and profound Dharma nature to manifest! If you always familiarize yourself with the three mandalas, it's amazing for the three bodies of wisdom to arise! The six faults of practitioners are: Not knowing the distinctions, being without the eye of view. The virtuous practice that is always needed, being without virtuous friends. The spiritual friend who leads to liberation, having no blind guide. The study and contemplation crutch that hinders practice is broken. Unwanted afflictions, blessed by the demons of grasping and clinging. Without liberation, falling into the abyss of the lower realms from existence. All these beings with six faults, although tears flow because of compassion that is hard to bear, bad karma is not exhausted, lacking the means of righteousness. The six instructions that have not gone astray are: Even if you have not accomplished the service to the Three Jewels, do not accumulate sins, contemplate the fear of the lower realms. Even if you have not accomplished devotion to the supreme Lama, do not slander, contemplate the faults of wrong views. Even if you have not accomplished love for your Dharma brothers and sisters, do not be jealous, contemplate the faults of breaking vows. Even if you have not accomplished your own Dharma according to the scriptures, do not despise practitioners, contemplate the faults of bad karma. Even if you have not destroyed the clinging to reality in illusory appearances, do not cling to permanence, contemplate the changes inside and out. Even if you have not actually benefited others, do not cause harm, contemplate the interdependence of cause and effect. If you listen, the teachings of the six reasons are: Look at the suffering of a slight interruption in activity. If virtuous practice is interrupted, it is appropriate to feel suffering. Look at the suffering of the interruption of the change of material things for the better. If the increase in experience is interrupted, it is appropriate to feel suffering. Look at the suffering of the interruption of one day's food and drink. If the four sessions of virtuous practice are interrupted, it is appropriate to feel suffering. If the enemy of this life is not subdued, look at the suffering. If the enemy of afflictions is defeated, it is appropriate to feel suffering. Look at the suffering of the death of a confused family. It is appropriate to feel suffering when an eternal friend is separated from the Dharma. Look at the suffering of a slight interruption in activity. Leisure and opportunity.

Suffering arises from laxity in Dharma practice; contemplating the meaning of reason is exceedingly virtuous. The six abandonments for proper practice are: Abandon the mire of samsara, worldly affairs; abandon the entanglements of family, children; abandon childish games, clinging to illusory appearances as real; abandon deceptive allurements, sensual pleasures; abandon the snare of demons, others' veneration; abandon ancestral spirits, ignorance, grasping, and clinging. By doing so, one is liberated from the realm of samsara. The six key points of advice are shown as vows: Not knowing that all encounters are liberation, do not suppress the thoughts of appearances. Not knowing that looking directly is liberation, do not uproot the root of dualistic clinging. Not knowing that experience is clear and profound, one falls into a mindless stupor. Not understanding that dualistic appearances are illusions, do not cling to attachment and desire. Not knowing that life is fleeting, one becomes lax in virtuous practice. Not mastering the power of awareness, one falls into the abyss of the six realms. It is crucial to diligently study these key points. The six ultimate points bind the essentials: The ultimate of suffering is to abandon the leadership of others. The ultimate of happiness is to reduce activities. The ultimate of ruin is to abandon unwholesome conduct. The ultimate of flourishing is to engage in virtuous actions. The ultimate of goodness is to turn one's back on the world. The ultimate of evil is to abandon the Dharma. By doing so, one reaches the pinnacle of excellence. The six abandonments tame one's own mind: Seeing impurities in urine and feces, cut off craving for food. Seeing fame as an echo, abandon worldly renown. Seeing illusion as an enemy, abandon desire and hatred. Using the five poisons as weapons, abandon grasping, clinging, and ego. Seeing power as fleeting clouds, abandon the boasting of great people. Seeing sin increasing and virtue decreasing, abandon hoarding wealth. By doing so, practice increases. The six Dharmas for encountering the meaning of Dharma-nature are: Directly seeing, recognizing the face of awareness, awakening from the depths of experience, experiences and attachments naturally dissolving, appearances vanishing without a trace, worldly thoughts ceasing, primordial wisdom dawning clearly. Whoever possesses these six experiences Dharma-nature. The teachings on the six perceptions are: Distinguishing the three times, cultivate the perception of impermanence. View relatives and friends as guests. View the place where you stay as a guesthouse. View food and wealth as
