In the stacked monastery, five hundred bodhisattvas who had attained dharani, five hundred arhats, and sixty thousand ordinary monks gathered. King Kaniṣka acted as the patron, and Vasumitra, the bodhisattva of the last existence, and the great arhat Pūrṇika gathered them. The prayer was also made by the king himself, uniting the eighteen schools into one Dharma. These eighteen schools are: the Sarvāstivāda school, and from it branched out: the Bhadra Rakṣa school, the Dharma Rakṣa school, the Bhūmi Darśana school, the Bahuśruta school, the Kāśāyavasana school, the Vibhajyavāda school, and seven others. These people, if not for the royal lineage holder Rāhula becoming a renunciate, would have become the kings of the Shakya clan. Because they became renunciates, among all those who revered the teachings of the Blessed One, they were prophesied as the most excellent descendants. The language is Sanskrit, well translated, and similar to the gods of the Thirty-Three Heavens. The fragments of the kasaya are from nine up to twenty-five, except for pairs, appearing upwards, with symbols of blue lotus, lotus, and jewel patterns. The Mahāsāṃghika school, and from it branched out: the Eastern Mountain school, the Snow Mountain school, the Prajñaptivāda school, the Lokottaravāda school, and five others. The root abbot of these schools was a renunciate from the Brahmin caste, named Great Elder Bhadra Rakṣa, who was prophesied as the most excellent among all those who possessed the qualities of practice. The language is Prakrit, the dialects of various regions. Similar to the gods of clear light. The kasaya fragments are from nine up to twenty-three, except for pairs, appearing upwards, with symbols of swastika and auspicious knot patterns. In the Sthavira school, there are: the Sthavira school residing in the Jeta Grove, the Sthavira school residing on the Fearless Mountain, the Sthavira school residing in the monastery, and three others. These people, the venerable Kātyāyana, who was a renunciate from the bamboo craftsman caste, was prophesied as the most excellent of those who tame the border regions, and is his lineage. The language is Apabhraṃśa, a corrupted language, similar to meat-eaters. The kasaya fragments are from nine up to twenty-one, except for

Only the conch can rise. The sign is a painted conch. Among those revered by the masses are the group of the earth-proclaiming lineage, the group of protectors, and the group of resident mothers, these three. These who have renounced from the butcher caste are called the noble Near Attendant. They are the disciples of the one who is most praised among the Vinaya holders. They speak the language of the Pisaci Tasha, which is in harmony with the gods of the pure realms. The patched rags of the patched robe are in harmony with the elders, and the sign is the appearance of the conch. The first compilation was when the Arhats, in meditative equipoise, compiled and revealed it with their minds. The second was revealed through verbal expression. The last was when the verbal expressions were written on books and compiled. Regarding the nature of the Buddha's words and treatises, "Well-spoken" is the classification of the Buddha's words, "Explanation of the Profound Meaning" is the classification of treatises, and "The difference between the Buddha's words and treatises, and how to explain and listen to them" are the four. The first has five points. The definition is any existence that appears as names, sentences, and letters from the autonomous cause of the speaker, the teacher Buddha, and exists in the Sutra or Tantra section. Among them, what is explained is the three trainings, what explains is the undefiled language and words, what establishes is the three valid cognitions, and the result is that it is virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end, which is its nature. As Maitreya says: Explaining the three trainings, the language and words are undefiled, possessing the three valid cognitions, virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end, this is the Buddha's word, greatly spoken. The opposite should be known as the treatises of other schools. The three trainings are: the training of discipline, the training of concentration, and the training of wisdom. The three valid cognitions are: direct perception, inference, and scriptural authority. The example is the form of names, sentences, and letters that appear as the teacher's words, appearing in the minds of the beings to be tamed. These appear as prose or verses of the Sutra or Tantra, from the inclinations of the retinue, through the blessings of the Dharma that is in accordance with the faculties of the beings to be tamed, from the blessings of the teacher, just as sound in a mirror, there is actually no meaning in the names and sentences, it is only an appearance. As the Uttaratantra says: Just as the sound of a mirror, arising from the consciousness of another. Here, the Hearers, the Vaibhashikas, believe that (1) the nature is the collection of names, held by the listener, and held by the non-associated compositional aggregates. And the Sutra
