To know the sheaths to be abandoned: Just as a lotus grows from mud, When it is in front, the mind is happy, Later, when happiness is gone, The joy of desire is just like that. Just as the living bee, Is extremely agitated, like being struck by a spear, Likewise, when hatred arises, It causes suffering in the heart. Just as the essence of rice and so on, Is obscured by the outer husk, Likewise, seeing the meaning of the essence, Is obscured by the five gates of ignorance. Just as impurity is incompatible, Likewise, those with attachment, Because desire is the cause of dependence, All arising is like impurity. Just as the obscuration of a jewel, Not knowing, the treasure is not seen, Likewise, the self-nature of birth, Is obscured by the earth of ignorance and habit. Just as sprouts and so on gradually grow, Likewise, the seed cuts its husk, Likewise, those who see that very nature, The seen-to-be-abandoned are reversed. From connection with the noble path, Those who have destroyed the essence of the aggregates, The wisdom to be abandoned by meditation, Are shown to be like rotten clothes. The impurities based on the seven grounds, Are like the impurities of the womb. Like being free from the womb, inconceivable, Like the ripening of wisdom. The impurities that follow the three grounds, Should be known like clothes of earth and mud, The great self༼༡༽རྡོ་རྗེ་ (Tibetan, vajra, वज्र, Vajra, Diamond scepter)like, Are to be destroyed by samadhi. Thus it is said. Third, showing the nature of the essence: Such a realm, the essence of bodhichitta, which is spontaneously present in sentient beings, is also called the nature of the dharmakaya in terms of its naturally pure and perfect qualities. It is shown by the three examples of the Buddha in the lotus, honey, and the essence of grain. As a sign of being present in oneself, in terms of not changing and not being created, it is called the nature of suchness. It is shown by the one example of gold. Having purified the path and being free from impurities, the three bodies arise by strength, and in terms of appearance, it is called the nature of lineage. It is shown by the five examples of treasure, tree, jewel body, wheel-turning king, and golden form. Also, in the Uttaratantra, it says: The nature of this is the dharmakaya, Likewise, suchness and lineage are also that, That is with three examples.

Just as the sun is not seen, from the house of birth, like the image of the sun, even the noble ones (do not see it). And, regarding the Buddha seeing everything, in the commentary on the Uttaratantra: Like the sun in the cloudy sky, here you are the only wise one, even the noble ones with pure eyes of wisdom cannot fully see everything. Bhagavan, you are the Dharmakaya, pure and undefiled, with boundless wisdom, with which you pervade the endless expanse of space, seeing everything. Thus it is said. That is also the realm of ultimate truth, seeing its nature is called seeing the ultimate truth, but emptiness where there is nothing is not the ultimate truth either. That is also because, for children, ordinary people, and the first (1) clinging to self, non-self and so on are taught as antidotes. In reality, one should know that the realm is luminous, uncreated, and naturally existing. As it says itself: In short, these four types of people are considered to be without the eye to see the Tathagatagarbha. What are the four? Namely, ordinary people, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas who have newly entered the Mahayana. As it is said: (2) Bhagavan, the Tathagatagarbha is not the object of those who fall into the view of the perishable aggregate, who delight in inverted views, and whose minds are distracted by emptiness. Thus it is said. Fourth, regarding the rationality of relying on lineage, there are two: questioning through the way of dispelling doubts and answering that question. The first is: Like clouds, like dreams, like illusions, in this and that place, it is said that all knowable things are all kinds of emptiness. Having said that, why do the Buddhas say here to sentient beings that there is the Tathagatagarbha? This is saying that the intermediate Buddha's words say that all phenomena are impermanent like clouds, unreal like dreams, and the aggregation of causes and conditions is also without self-nature like illusions, and so on. But here, because it is immutable from the beginning, it is said to be permanent, because it exists in its own nature, it is said to be solitary (3), because it is not produced by causes and conditions, it is said to be uncreated, these (4) are contradictory, so how is it? In order to answer the needs (1) of those with inferior wisdom, this essence also
