Having the nature of non-regression ༼2༽ from the dwelling ༼3༽, and the nature of immovability. Those with the potential for realization have six kinds of immovable nature. The first is that the dull-witted regress from the happiness of the visible dharma dwelling. That is, they regress from the happiness of meditative absorption. The second is that the dull-witted do not regress if they kill themselves, but regress if they do not kill themselves. They transform life into enjoyment, and are called those who contemplate death. The third is that the dull-witted regress from the dwelling of happiness when intoxicated, but do not regress when not intoxicated. That is, whether or not their minds are distracted by desirable qualities. The fourth is that the dull-witted do not regress from the dwelling of happiness,༼1༽ and they also do not have the potential to tame their senses. The fifth is that the dull-witted do not regress from the dwelling of happiness, and they have the potential to tame their senses. The potential for signs༼2༽ is that they can hear༼3༽ the higher ones. The sixth is that the sharp-witted do not change from regressing from the happiness of the visible dharma dwelling. All six of these exist in the desire realm, and in the two upper realms, there are only the two natures of non-regression and immovability that dwell there. These are the teachings of the remaining support. The non-remaining is like a fire that has consumed its fuel, without a body at the time of nirvana, and it is believed that the wisdom of the cessation of mind enters into the realm of cessation. From the Collection of Purposeful Utterances: Where there is no body, consciousness ceases, All feelings are separated, Actions are near to peace, And consciousness is extinguished. Thus it is said. The explanation of the Hearer's Ground is finished. Secondly, there are three paths of the Solitary Buddha: like a rhinoceros horn, great conduct in the assembly, and small conduct in the assembly. The first has five aspects: the difference in lineage is that the Solitary Buddha is divided into three types: those with sharp faculties, great pride and sorrow, little compassion for others, and who like to dwell alone like a rhinoceros horn. The difference in accumulating merit is that they accumulate the merit of a hundred great kalpas gathered by the path of accumulation. From the Treasury: The cause of the rhinoceros horn is a hundred kalpas. Thus it is said. That is, knowing that there is no opportunity to attain enlightenment on that basis of accumulating merit, in order to fulfill their aspirations, they become skilled in the world༼1༽ through hearing and contemplating the Hearer's Vinaya, in a place where there is no Buddha or Hearer.

May I be born in that Buddha-field." "May the realization of the path arise spontaneously in the continuum of that which is born." "May I not teach the Dharma to those to be tamed by the signs of the body, and may I not teach through the door of sound," thus making three aspirations. "So. The distinction of accomplishing the path is from the Root Wisdom: When the complete Buddhas have not appeared, and the Shravakas have also been exhausted, the wisdom of the Pratyekabuddha arises greatly without dependence. As it is said, after that birth, having been born in a world without Buddhas and Shravakas, upon going to the charnel ground and seeing bones, aversion to samsara arises. Alas, where did these bones come from? They came from old age and death. Where did old age and death come from? They came from birth, and so on, contemplating the twelve links of dependent origination in the order of arising. And thinking, how shall I be liberated from this? Furthermore, by the cessation of ignorance, actions cease, and from the cessation of actions up to old age and death, the root of the twelve links of dependent origination in reverse order is severed. Knowing that all dharmas are merely dependently originated, by meditating on the twelve links of dependent origination and the four truths with the sixteen aspects such as impermanence, the path of joining arises. By meditating on the four paths of joining as in the case of the Shravakas, the sixteen moments of the path of seeing, which is the direct realization of the truths, and the path of meditation arise like a Bodhisattva. After that, the wisdom of exhaustion and the wisdom of non-arising are manifested." "Also, the way to manifest the five paths on one seat is the same as the Bodhisattva's, as it says in the Treasury: To show and to be a rhinoceros and to be enlightened, at the end of meditation, all on one support. Thus it is. Regarding the distinction of abiding, there are two: the distinction of the body abiding is to abide alone like a rhinoceros, and the distinction of the mind abiding is to abide remembering the twelve links of dependent origination, the thirty-seven dharmas, and the three doors of liberation." "The twelve links of dependent origination are: ignorance, action, consciousness, name and form." "The six sense sources and contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, and old age and death are called the twelve links of dependent origination. Among them, not knowing is ignorance." "By its power, one falls into samsara, therefore it is action. From that arises the consciousness that originates from the alaya consciousness of sentient beings.
