The wisdom of Gaga. It itself is extremely supreme, therefore it is also sacred, because the wisdom that is not confused is true in its realm, so it is the truth, that is, suchness. Numerical certainty means that knowable things, such as form, etc., these existence and non-existence, etc., both are included, transcending everything, and it is determined to include both only by negation. By excluding the middle third aggregate, it includes both; transcending the two, it is numerically determined as two, and it is determined by the measure that holds the two. These two are established as the two truths, so the numerical certainty is established. Detailed distinctions are two: the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. As it is said in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son: "The truths of worldly wise men are two, you do not need to hear from others, observe yourself. That is the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, there is no third truth." So it is said. Conventional truth can also be divided into two: false conventional that appears but cannot function, and true conventional that appears and can function. As it is said in the Treatise on Two Truths: "The appearance is similar, but whether it can function, therefore it is divided into true and untrue, and the distinction of conventional is also explained." That is to say, it is consistent with the appearance, can function, arises from cause, is free from discrimination, and appears similar to its own kind. The dharmas such as form, etc., which have these four characteristics, are true conventional, and can function individually. But what appears but cannot function, such as hair falling out and appearing as two moons, etc., are false conventional, because they cannot function, so it is a detailed distinction, so it is thought. There are also two kinds of ultimate truth: merely negating birth, etc., but not yet liberated from the play of non-birth, is the nominal ultimate truth; liberated from all the play of birth and non-birth, etc., is the non-nominal ultimate truth. As it is said in that sutra: "Negating birth, etc., is also in accordance with the truth, for those who are non-born and pacify all play, it is called the ultimate truth." So it is said. Second, the characteristics are two: the real characteristics and the determining measure. First, the characteristic of merely the truth is that any dharma has no self-nature. The characteristic of conventional truth is dharma

Whatever cannot be analyzed by reason, what is the characteristic of the ultimate truth? Whatever can be analyzed by reason. That is to say, emptiness of self-nature with truth is selflessness. That which can be refuted by the ultimate reasoning is called unanalyzable. That which cannot be refuted by any reasoning is called analyzable. That is to say, the Vaibhashika school considers that which can function is the ultimate truth, so they do not accept the correct conventional truth. However, the Madhyamaka school believes that there are two kinds of conventional truths, and the unanalyzable knowable that can function is the characteristic of the correct conventional truth. The unanalyzable knowable that cannot function is the characteristic of the false conventional truth. Furthermore, the Vaibhashika school believes that there are two kinds of ultimate truths, namely, the other-dependent ultimate truth and the perfectly established ultimate truth. However, the Madhyamaka school, because it prohibits one-sided elaboration (1), uses the prohibition of similarity as a reason to call the difference of the conventional truth of prohibiting arising and ceasing the ultimate truth, and distinguishes the nominal ultimate truth. Because nothing is established in its own nature, in the ultimate sense, only the aspect that transcends all elaborations distinguishes the non-nominal ultimate truth. However, they say that it is impossible to separate from all elaborations and distinguish characteristics in the ultimate sense. If asked, from the five aggregates of knowable objects such as form, what is the basis for representing the two truths? The answer is that the basis for representing the ultimate truth is the unconditioned. That is to say, the two cessations and space are prohibitions that depend on what is to be negated, and because they are unanalyzable, they cannot be the ultimate truth, only suchness is. It should be understood that the characteristic of the conventional truth is all knowable objects that have not realized the unborn suchness. Some Madhyamikas who cling to the side of conventional truth speak the same as the Vaibhashika school. They say that the objects of grasping and the grasped appear simultaneously, and are produced from the collection of causes that closely gather. That is to say, even in non-conceptual consciousness, all the parts that appear as the grasped aspect are true as illusions in the external world. There are also some who accept the Sutra-follower Madhyamaka school, believing that the external object itself does not actually appear in consciousness.
