"What obstructs the desire for things with limbs?" "If the truth of a single substance is negated by focusing on many parts, then the appearance of various phenomena is also negated by focusing on many parts, so that the truth of a single partless consciousness is negated." "Secondly, if many partless objects are true in many consciousnesses, then a single mind will not fail to grasp many particles, so the gross appearance will disappear." "Secondly, those who assert that mind-only is without aspects hold these five bases as follows: sound, meaning, and the appearance of two moons, etc., do not exist in the nature of both meaning and mind; although they are not real, they appear as if fabricated. The five faculties, the five objects, and the appearance as the vessel-world are also not consciousness and external objects, but appear because they are fabricated on the beginningless imprints of ignorance. Therefore, the basis of form is merely fabrication and is false. The basis of mind and the basis of mental factors, the aspect of the object of grasping, are fabricated, and there is no single self. Like a pure crystal ball unstained by the impurities of aspects. They assert that partless moments, such as directions, are ultimate realities that arise from the previous moment. In this system, because they do not consider objects to be multiple, and appearance and consciousness to be one substance, although there is no system of infinite numbers of consciousnesses, they do hold to the six, eight, or one aggregates of consciousness, as do those with aspects. Whether they consider mind and mental factors to be one substance or different substances is also as before. Non-associated formations and unconditioned phenomena are also in accordance with the views of those with aspects. Although this text is slightly superior to those with aspects, it is still not completely correct, so there are two refutations: it is unreasonable that form and so on do not exist as real things, and it is unreasonable that partless consciousness is not an ultimate reality. First, if form and so on do not exist as real things, then how do pleasure and pain become established as real things? If something is a real thing because it performs a function, then why is fire and so on not a real thing because it performs the function of burning and so on? If, as stated in the context of refuting the Vaibhashikas, the division of directional parts negates the external object from becoming a real thing, then pleasure and pain will also be negated from existing as real things by the division of temporal parts. Therefore, ultimate

Although not a real object, just like an image, there are suffering and happiness, which are conventional objects. Form and so on are also like that, in the conventional, the object that appears as the external environment exists like a dream, which is reasonable. If the external environment is false in the face of consciousness, and there is nothing other than the inner self-nature, then taking and abandoning for samsara, nirvana, suffering and happiness, etc. is also unreasonable." "Second, if consciousness is an indivisible moment, then it will become unrelated to before and after. If you think so, it will become without cause, so sometimes it will not be interrupted. Because it does not produce fruit, it will become a non-functional ability. In this way, both with and without aspects admit that the consciousness without dualistic grasping is true in the ultimate sense and exists in the conventional sense, which is also unreasonable, because like this: one consciousness at the same time, the knowable and the knowing are contradictory, so it is impossible for oneself to know oneself, just like a sword cannot cut or touch its own tip. The Holy Lankavatara Sutra says: 'For example, a sharp sword cannot touch or cut itself, so the consciousness dharma cannot know itself.'" "As it is said. If it is said that because the past consciousness is more intelligent than the present consciousness, so it is self-consciousness, that is not right. When the past ༼༡༽ is more intelligent than the present, does the past exist or not exist in the object? If it exists, it will become permanent and real, because when the present consciousness exists, the past does not stop and exists. If it does not exist, because it does not exist, so the knowledge does not exist, because there is no object of knowledge. If it is said that because one arises with knowledge, so it is self-consciousness, that is also not right, does the arising of self-consciousness depend on other-consciousness or not depend on it? If it depends, then when the consciousness of this consciousness is other-consciousness, it is not self-consciousness. It will become that there is a consciousness that is not self-consciousness. If it does not depend, then self-consciousness cannot be established, because self-consciousness depends on other-consciousness. Although self-consciousness and other-consciousness are different opposites of one consciousness, if they are the same entity, there is no fault, then how to prevent the two sides of the mirror-like consciousness of the Samkhya school?" "Also, one consciousness at the same time, self-consciousness at the same time as other-consciousness, then the name-consciousness of one being has two sides, and there is no difference from the Samkhya school. The dependence and dependence of self and other knowledge
