Furthermore, it is not done all at once, but gradually. Examine the vessels and bestow teachings well. Secretly impart instructions to those attached to this life. Therefore, if they are worthy vessels, they will request with offerings and service, as they have reverence for the Dharma. Even without desire for possessions, it can be known through the actions of others. Those who are not vessels do not strive for accumulating gifts, but only for a single connection. As it is said in the *All-Creating King*: For the sake of examining beforehand and testing faith, With precious wealth and respectful vessels. Do not reveal the *All-Creating King* to those with attachment, pride, and uncertainty about the minds of others. Therefore, teach those who are worthy vessels and conceal from those who are not. As *Self-Arisen* says: The meaning of the great perfection of secret instructions, Do not pour into inferior vessels. The essence of some who have faith, If poured into inferior vessels, Will cause both the essence and the vessel to perish. Therefore, conceal from those of lesser intelligence. The method of concealment is not to let those of lesser intelligence contemplate this profound Dharma, not to utter the words, and not to hand them the scriptures. Also, admonish those who are worthy vessels to keep secret from those who are not, and advise them to strictly conceal the vows of teaching to those who are worthy. The essence of what is taught is: To the fortunate, supreme, and heart-like sons, Bestow the teaching of the essence of definitive meaning. Here, there are two aspects: the actual teaching and the object to whom it is entrusted. The first is the mind of awareness and bodhicitta, Showing the way to transcend cause and effect, action, and effort, Including establishing through view and abiding in contemplation. The first is that whatever appears in the face of awareness is not tainted by awareness (1)Just as trees have no benefit or harm. Transcending cause and effect, good and evil, it is the great perfection of thorough penetration and single completion. As it is said in the *All-Creating King*: Unthinking sky is the dharmakaya, I am without thought, without acceptance or rejection. Without acceptance or rejection, like the sky. Just as the sky has no acceptance or rejection, Samantabhadra has no acceptance or rejection. Without acceptance or rejection, it is absorbed into me. Furthermore, the essence is without cause and effect, and it also says: Bodhi is the nature of the sky, The sky has no cause and effect. Furthermore, *Lion's Might Perfection* says: Merit does not realize the meaning of the Buddha, If merit realizes the meaning of the Buddha, The reality of Dzogchen would become false. Sin does not cause one to fall into samsara,

If ignorance causes one to fall into samsara, self-arisen wisdom becomes false. Thus it is said. The subsequent explanation is: the good and evil shown in the lower vehicles are due to the fact that they themselves have not understood the true meaning, and they cling to the appearance as if it exists, and thus it appears as good and evil. However, there is no good or evil in the nature of Bodhicitta, just as in the case of a fever, no matter what illusions arise, they do not exist in reality. The example of the law of arising and ceasing is like the unborn cannot be taken or abandoned, and the example of a seed sprouting is like the sky cannot be taken or abandoned. The example of the illusion of cause and effect should be understood that the essence of mind cannot be taken or abandoned. As it is said in the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra: Dzogchen is beyond cause and effect from the beginning, and there is no accomplishment in searching and practicing. It prophesies the teachers who hold the view of cause and effect, who use the laws of worldly phenomena as a yardstick, and seek cause and effect to prove the fruit. There is no fruit from the beginning without cause from the mind. Since Bodhicitta is unborn, it takes the law of worldly beings as an example, and falsely claims that birth must have destruction. If one does not realize that self-arisen transcends cause and effect, and uses the laws of worldly phenomena as a yardstick, and claims that the result is found from the cause, then that kind of cause and effect is only the argument of its own sect. O great Bodhisattva, listen! What is called wisdom is the unobstructed self-arisen wisdom, which is the same as all things. That incomparable wisdom, which is not born from causes and conditions, all beings do not arise from other places. Using the laws of worldly cause and effect as a yardstick, searching for the fruit that does not exist, will never be obtained. Since Bodhicitta is not born from cause, it does not use the laws of worldly arising and ceasing as a yardstick. Since Bodhicitta is not born from conditions, it does not use the laws of worldly arising and ceasing as an example. O great Bodhisattva! If you want to be great and diligently practice meditation, then the merit of meditation will not achieve greatness. Greatness is self-arisen wisdom, which is originally complete. Thus it is said. Just as usual, there is no need to achieve Buddhahood through cause and effect, because practice will never achieve it. It is originally believed that the unconditioned Dharmakaya is the fruit, and if practice can achieve it, then it becomes conditioned, and then it becomes impermanent. Therefore, maintaining the natural state without modification can achieve it.
