At the very crucial point of great abiding, all outer and inner dharmas are spontaneously accomplished and gathered. Just as the sky contains the vessel and its contents, the expanse of awareness is vast enough to encompass samsara and nirvana. Whatever appears, at the moment of its arising, awareness rests in its own place, free from the thoughts and expressions of memory and conceptualization. As stated in the *All-Creating King*: "Whatever action, whatever appears as the nature of reality, without thinking, resting in its own nature, shows liberation." And as stated in the *Consequence School*: "The impure is delusion, without altering the gates of the senses, resting is the key point, and transforming from that is the instruction." "In the appearance without grasping, the mind without grasping arises. Seeing with the eye without judgment, guided from the path without inherent existence, delivered to the ground without view or meditation, gathered into the fruit without action or effort. Here, the limits of appearance do not abide." And as stated in the *Six Spaces*: "In the mind-essence without fear, the appearance free from hope and doubt is the original abiding, the powerful intention, as Samantabhadra, I have shown." So it is. Spontaneously accomplishing the crucial point, free from action and effort, is without birth and without cessation, without coming and without going, and so forth. Thus, the intention of the Victorious Ones is completely gathered. "The spontaneously accomplished, unwavering, pure samadhi is the gathering of all dharmas at the crucial point of non-action." If all dharmas are not acted upon, then the ground does not move from its own place, and the intention of the Victorious Ones is spontaneously accomplished, so the body does not move. Speech is not spoken, the mind does not conceptualize, and like the vast expanse of the sky, it is laid out wide open, spontaneously accomplished, and rests in great perfection. As stated in the *All-Creating King*: "In the nature of reality, the bodhi without acceptance or rejection, abiding like the sky, so body and mind are without fabrication. Without notions or clinging, so there is no meditation. Like the sky, completely peaceful, free from all impurities, not entering into objects, the intention is free from objective clinging." And as stated in the *Six Spaces*: "In the mind-essence without conceptualization, without grasping, without obstruction, the self-appearance is the recognition of the clear realm of self-awareness. In the mind-essence without thought, the self-abiding, spontaneously vast appearance is the intention of the four sounds self-returning, as Samantabhadra, I have shown. In the mind-essence without memory, the moving, self-purifying appearance is the samadhi of grasping self-liberating, as Samantabhadra, I have shown. In the mind-essence without arising feeling, the inconceivable superior vision of the

Ba ni. "The view of exhausting coming and going," I, Samantabhadra, have taught. Thus it is. Now, all dharmas are bound from the beginning as the great spontaneously accomplished. First, all are bound as spontaneously accomplished purity. Binding all dharmas in the bond of spontaneous accomplishment is: All appearances and existences are spontaneously accomplished as self-appearance, All samsara and nirvana are spontaneously accomplished as play, Bodhicitta is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, Therefore, there is nothing other than spontaneous accomplishment for all dharmas. Therein, all containers and contents, appearances and existences, are spontaneously accomplished as the self-appearance of mind, like the self-appearance of a dream itself being spontaneously accomplished. All dharmas of samsara and nirvana arise as play from the power of awareness, spontaneously accomplished, like the appearance of five lights from crystal. Awareness, the mind of enlightenment, is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning in the great empty-clear primordial purity, like the sky. In the Single Determination of the Three Times, it says: The basis of all samsara and nirvana is bodhicitta. The basis of bodhicitta is spontaneous accomplishment. The nature of spontaneous accomplishment is uncertain. The meaning of spontaneous accomplishment is unborn. Unborn spontaneous accomplishment is free from before and after, beginning and end. The essence of all samsara and nirvana is bodhicitta. The essence of bodhicitta is uncertain arising. The basis of uncertainty is spontaneous accomplishment. The meaning of uncertainty is unborn. Unborn uncertainty is free from before and after, beginning and end. The meaning of all samsara and nirvana is bodhicitta. The meaning of bodhicitta is unborn. The nature of the unborn is spontaneous accomplishment. The essence of the unborn is uncertain. The meaning of the unborn is unborn. Unborn un-arising is free from before and after, beginning and end. The self of all samsara and nirvana is bodhicitta. The self of bodhicitta is without beginning or end. The basis of without beginning or end is spontaneous accomplishment. The nature of without beginning or end is uncertain. The meaning of without beginning or end is unborn. Selflessness does not abide, free from before and after, beginning and end. The abiding of without beginning or end is without fabrication. The arising of without beginning or end cannot be denied. The suchness of without beginning or end is without name. The liberation of without beginning or end is without cessation. The dharmata of without cessation is the expanse of equality. All naturally abide in the expanse of equality. Thus it is. Awareness, spontaneous accomplishment, has a basis, essence, and meaning.
