Among the four, which are binding, being bound by vows, recitation, and so on, the first is also shown as being like the spontaneously accomplished jewel. The nature of being spontaneously accomplished from the beginning is: "Unmade by anyone, it has existed from the beginning." "Like the source-arising jewel is bodhicitta. It is established as the basis from which all phenomena of samsara and nirvana arise." Just as a jewel has qualities that are inherently and completely present, the wisdom of bodhicitta, which is not established in any entity, spontaneously accomplishes all phenomena as the essence or basis from the beginning, as the qualities that arise in any way. From the "Three Times Decisive": "From the spontaneously accomplished, impartial, without inner or outer." "The limitless wisdom of the end is as vast as the sky. Without narrowness, the expanse of the nature of reality spreads. Without top, bottom, or direction, it pervades everywhere. Unborn, unceasing, it gathers into a single bindu. From one, the desired nine arise, so there is no end." "Without increase or decrease, it is a treasure of precious jewels." So it is. From the "Meeting of the Three Kayas": "From the spontaneously accomplished space, the basis from which all arise. The mind of the three kayas is the wheel of ornaments, and because qualities and activities arise impartially." "The desired nine are the jewel, the precious realm of dharma. Without searching, all is spontaneously accomplished." So it is. From the "All-Creating King": "This bodhicitta, the essence of all, is spontaneously accomplished from its own nature from the beginning, so there is no need to search for or cultivate it with the ten natures." So it is. The display of the great spontaneously accomplished ground is shown as: "Just as phenomena and existence appear from the nature of the sky, samsara and nirvana arise unceasingly from bodhicitta. Just as various dreams arise from sleep, the six realms and three worlds arise from the nature of mind. From the time of arising, all phenomena are in the nature of awareness. Emptiness, spontaneous accomplishment, is the great ground display." Just as the environment and beings appear from the nature of the sky, samsara and nirvana arise from the nature of awareness as unceasing potential. From whose potential do they arise? Just as dreams arise from the potential of sleep, the aspect of awareness, ignorance, arises as the mind of the eight consciousnesses, from the potential of which the beings of the three realms appear as the environment and beings. Just as deluded appearances arise from the potential of feverish illness, the appearance of samsara arises spontaneously from the delusion of mind, but from the moment of arising, it is pure as the self-display of emptiness. From the "Meeting of the Three Kayas": "From the spontaneously accomplished space, the basis from which all arise, inner and outer, birth and cessation.

All that appears as form, is the unbiased body, appearing as a wheel of ornaments. All sounds that are heard as high, medium, and low, are the unbiased speech, appearing as a wheel of ornaments. All are indivisible, one in the essence of ultimate truth. Unbiased mind, appearing as a wheel of ornaments. Thus it is said. The teaching on spontaneous accomplishment of non-duality: The basis and the ways in which the basis appears, in the nature of being free from one and other, arise from the gate of primordial spontaneous awareness. The two aspects of samsara and nirvana, as the play of talent, although they appear separately as pure and impure, at the very moment of appearance, the essence is one, without good or bad. The basis of awareness is the mind of enlightenment, the great perfection of emptiness, clarity, and spontaneous presence, and within the nature of that basis-appearance, all the phenomena that appear, all the phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, arise from the gate of spontaneous accomplishment, and although they appear as good and bad, the essence is one, without good or bad, transcending one and other, called the nature of self-arisen wisdom. In the "Three Times Decisive": Because they are gathered into one, all are the essence of one. The only unborn, the dharmadhatu is without birth. From the unborn essence, the miracles of birth, are not certain in any way, there is no limit anywhere. Thus it is said. In the "All-Creating King": The body of the Buddha and wisdom qualities, and the bodies and habitual tendencies of sentient beings, etc., all that encompasses the appearances of existence, the container and its contents, are all, from the beginning, the nature of the mind of enlightenment. Thus it is said. The teaching on the great perfection of the three kayas spontaneously present: When the five lights arise unceasingly from crystal, although the lights are perceived as distinct colors, there is no good or bad, it is the talent of a single crystal ball. The basis of self-awareness is like a crystal ball, its emptiness is the nature of the dharmakaya, its clarity is the self-radiance, the sambhogakaya is complete, the unceasing basis of appearance is the nirmanakaya. In the essence-basis, the three kayas are spontaneously accomplished. Just as the crystal and the five lights within it are of one essence, so there is no good or bad. Awareness-emptiness is like crystal, it is the dharmakaya. The clarity of awareness as the five lights within it is the sambhogakaya. Just as the crystal has the ability to appear outwardly but has not yet appeared, the aspect of the unceasing gate of appearance is the nirmanakaya. The essence of the three kayas of the basis is one, so in meaning there is no good or bad. The form body that arises from that appears to those to be trained, and the dharmakaya is also without good or bad, it is the mind of enlightenment, and its talent appears.
