Like a fish that does not stray from the lake, allowing it to sway without discrimination is called "spontaneous liberation, without interruption." As it says in Kunjal, "In the ocean of self-born wisdom, whatever thoughts arise in the mind, in the ocean they turn into golden fish." As it says in "Meeting of the Three Kayas," "However you think, think in your own nature. However you realize, realize in your own nature. There is no thought in Bodhichitta. Freedom from thought is the mind of the Buddhas of the three times." And so on. Showing the meaning of exhaustion and spontaneousness: In the state of spontaneousness, everything is reversed, transcending the boundary of self-nature's negation and affirmation. Like the emptiness of the container and its contents in the state of space, negation, affirmation, attachment, and aversion disappear into the primordial expanse. Here, there is no trace of past thoughts, and in the uninterrupted state of awareness, spontaneousness is limitless, transcending the endless clinging to hope and fear. It is the release from the bondage of the grasping mind, and the city of illusory samsara is empty. Just as clouds arise from the state of space and dissolve into space, all phenomena initially arise from the expanse and ultimately dissolve into the expanse. Having realized this, negation, affirmation, attachment, aversion, and all that arises from the mind and mental factors are reversed to the original source of arising—the empty bindu. This is the instruction for the mind to awaken from the illusion of samsara in its original purity, abiding in self-emptiness, non-duality, and spontaneousness. From "Self-Liberation of Signs": "On one bindu, the cause is reversed, the fruit of hope and fear is cut off, equal to space. How vast, the mind of the conquerors equal to space! There is no abandonment or attainment in the realm of one bindu, self-liberated, there is no realization or non-realization." Concluding: Therefore, who knows that all outer appearances and phenomena and the playful display of inner self-mind are all primordially empty and spontaneous? In the key point of spontaneousness, all phenomena are liberated. All phenomena do not go beyond awareness and the play of awareness. Awareness itself is inconceivable, inexpressible, and without elaboration, and it is the source of all phenomena, so it is without limitation or bias, and spontaneousness is vast. The play of awareness is that all outer appearances are held as one's own manifestation, just as a woman seen before appears in a dream. All the inner eight consciousnesses, the mind and mental factors, are the unceasing door of compassion.
