That is to show that it is appropriate. From the Self-Liberation of Signs, composed by the teacher Garab Dorje: The Dharmata of liberation in non-duality, For those below, it is impossible, but it is the Dharma of possibility. Ear (1)The ease of a child climbing a rock That, it is impossible for other beings, but only for him it is possible. The awareness that is liberated in the realm of non-action, For those of the Hinayana who strive, it is impossible, but for the yogi on the path of equality and emptiness, it is bliss. The awareness of primordial Buddhahood is without a place, Wandering in samsara is impossible, but it is a possible event. To think of the object as a substance is a base mind. Liberated in the sky, liberated in the realm of no support. The single bindu without corners, To appear as two is impossible, but it is a possible event. To grasp one and other is a confused mind. Liberated in one, liberated in the realm of Dharmata. Self-born wisdom without cause or condition, For the five poisons to arise is impossible, but it is a possible event. To think of the path of samsara as an obstacle to enlightenment. Self-born liberation, liberated in the realm of wisdom. Spontaneously accomplished, without direction, without limit, To be biased and limited is impossible, but it is a possible event. Attachment to the edge of directional views is the Mara of equality. Liberated without direction, liberated in the realm of spontaneous accomplishment. The emptiness without substance or sign, without interruption, For appearances to arise is impossible, but it is a possible event. Liberated in appearance, liberated in the realm of uncertainty. Without distinction, liberated in the realm of spontaneous accomplishment. Without gathering or separation, liberated in the realm of the bindu. Whatever arises, liberated in the realm of uncertainty. Appears as form, phenomena self-liberated. Sounds as sound, hearing liberated in its own place. Whatever arises from the five senses of appearance, sound, sight, and hearing, Because one sees one's own face, there is no other object. There is no duality, object and mind are equally liberated. Because everything arises from the one equality, it is the space. Because it causes all qualities to arise, it is the basis. Because everything is liberated without action, it is the realm. Thus it is said. Showing the essence of the meaning of non-existence is: In the mind of impermanence and cessation, enlightenment, The wisdom without grasping naturally abides. In the naked awareness without cause and effect, The single bindu without virtue or sin abides. In the clear awareness without beginning or end, The intention of the Dharmakaya Samantabhadra naturally abides. In the essence of non-existence, self-awareness, enlightenment, The intention of the victorious ones, pure without object, is clear.

The self-nature of emptiness, clarity, permanence, and cessation, transcends the grasping and the grasped, both internally and externally. It is free from the causes, effects, virtues, and sins of that very nature. It is without karmic ripenings or habitual tendencies. Therefore, it is the utterly pure, singular intention of Samantabhadra. As the Great Garuda Khyungchen said: "The mind cannot be observed; who can see its causes? Therefore, there is no sin; what virtue is there in this?" Combined with the original source of one's own tradition. Thus it is said. The meaning of realizing non-existence is shown as follows: In the self-appearing awareness of the illusory yogi, non-existent phenomena arise unceasingly as a play. From the moment they arise, it is decisively determined that they are non-existent. Therefore, one does not engage in accepting or rejecting actions. With an open mind and ease, one abides in great equanimity. For the yogi who realizes all phenomena as self-appearing illusions, the play of non-existence arises, and the original perfection of the meaning of equanimity is attained. Entrusting all that exists and does not exist to the keen awareness, the yogi is relieved and at ease, surpassing ordinary, self-satisfied individuals. As the Great Garuda Khyungchen said: "Entrusting awareness to the keen mind does not transcend the three realms. Who has the uncorrected, foolish appearance to rest upon? This does not abide in either samsara or nirvana." Thus it is said. Showing the fault of not realizing non-existence is as follows: Like children and wild animals deceived by non-existence, they thirstily pursue water in a mirage. Hoping for meaning in the deceptive words of terminology, each school binds itself with its own doctrine. Because the eight levels of mental wandering are not cut off, the true essence of meaning is not seen. Just as wild animals suffer from mistaking a mirage for water, so too are childish beings tormented by the phenomena of grasping. The eight lower vehicles each cling to their own doctrines, thus suffering and not touching the essence of meaning; they are the same. Among them, the ego of a person is the conceptual thought that arises in the mind that grasps, is attached, hates, and clings to itself. The ego of phenomena is that which does not exist in objects but is imputed by the mind, the various mental phenomena, and all the stains of clinging to the extremes of view, meditation, conduct, and result. These are the same for ordinary people, non-Buddhists, and the eight lower vehicles who have not realized the true nature. As the Great Garuda Khyungchen said: "Without a basis, who desires the clinging to the path and the fruit? Because of desiring, this obscures the state of liberation." Emptiness, darkness, clarity, and existence and non-existence themselves, permanence and cessation, cause and effect—these four, totaling eight, in the boundless expanse of space
