It abides in the great indivisibility of self-nature, pure appearance, and emptiness from the very beginning. The Names Discourse states: "Self-nature is pure." "Without beginning, without elaboration, is self." And, "Pure because it is without defilement, supreme self because it pervades all, constant because it is without change." From the perspective of the mind that sees this shore, transforming into the meaning of the other shore of kalpas, the Ornament of the Sutras states: "The qualities of purity, self, bliss, and constancy are the result of reaching the other shore." It is not established or placed upon a quality that did not exist before, nor is it merely the removal of a temporary fault or stain. Rather, there is no outward departure from the removal of faults, nor is there an inward entry of qualities. This is the meaning of the true reality, which can be liberated by realization or seeing. The Ornament of Clear Realization states: "In this, there is nothing to be removed, nor is there anything to be established. Look at reality as it is, and seeing it as it is, one is completely liberated." Such a self-nature transcends the realm of conventional distinctions and all differences. Because it transcends the two truths of imputation, all elaborations are pacified. The ultimate truth is indivisible, without establishment or non-establishment. In the dharmadhatu, the nature of appearance and emptiness is non-dual, so this ultimate truth is also said to be indivisible. For that luminous wisdom, the appearance of samsara, which is conventional, is like a cloud, untouchable, so even the appearance of delusion is not established. When that is not established, the ultimate truth, which measures emptiness by appearance, is also not established. Because those two are not established, there is no establishment of any distinction between the two truths measured by philosophical tenets. Because that does not exist, the two truths that are falsely labeled as true and false by the mind are also transcended, and all elaborations are pacified. This is because the imputed truth is not established, so it is said that the ultimate truth is indivisible. However, it cannot be said that it is established in the conventional and not established in the ultimate. Therefore, the luminous wisdom of the dharmadhatu, although it is said to be the great spontaneously accomplished purity, does not have the appearance and emptiness of the two truths that are famous in philosophical tenets, so it is also said to be the indivisible ultimate truth. As the Illusion Master Sutra states: "Ultimate and conventional are without distinction, in the great mandala of equality." Likewise. If there is no distinction even in the appearance of the two truths imputed in name, what need is there to mention the luminous nature? For example, the sun

In this appearance, even if the dust rain is separated, it will not diminish, or if it is not separated, it will not become clear, because it is clear in appearance, so the sun does not have such distinctions, it is just fabricated by one's own mind. If it existed, worldly people would also see it, because seeing the sun, one should see the two truths that exist in it, just as when seeing the sun, one clearly sees the light that exists in it. Then, if the two truths that are known in conventional terms are combined with this, how should the two truths be established? The answer is: merely through symbols and conforming to the gateway, establishing it as a branch of understanding symbols. If the two conventional truths are distinguished by method, it is like this: all the confused appearances of samsaric dharmas, because they are untrue and deceptive, are the relative truth; the profound, peaceful, and luminous dharmas of nirvana, the unchanging nature, are considered the ultimate truth. Like this, the luminosity that obscures the essence of meaning, the alaya consciousness of various habitual tendencies, the appearances of habitual tendencies, the various appearances of external forms and other objects, and all aspects of the inner mind, because they are samsara, are deceptive and without essence, therefore they are established as the relative truth; while the spontaneously accomplished ground luminosity is established as the ultimate truth. For example, like clouds and the sun, the luminosity of the obscured place is the ultimate truth, the obscuring samsaric dharmas, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are the relative truth. Such obscurations appear but are not established, therefore luminosity is not stained, because in distinguishing, mixing is necessary, but there is no mixing into one or different, so establishing the undifferentiated truth is: such conventionality, such various appearances, are like illusions, like water moons, like emanations, like reflections. Whatever appears, its nature is empty, if examined carefully, there is no fundamental entity, like space, empty and with broken characteristics. When not examined, it is pleasing and delightful, like various illusions. It arises from the interdependent origination of habitual confusion, like the appearance of dhatūra. Such various appearances of conventionality are not established in real things, because one's own characteristics are broken, like a water moon. When examined, it does not exist, but when not examined, it seems to exist, so it is called confused appearance, just as dhatūra causes confused appearances. Confused appearances are conventional dharmas. These dharmas, whose nature is empty and selfless, that itself is its reality, therefore it is ultimate.
