Do. Meritorious deeds in accordance with liberation are the cause of existence, because they belong to the side of non-virtue in terms of meaning. As the teacher Nagarjuna said: "From virtue comes happiness, from non-virtue comes suffering, liberation does not depend on either of the two." As it is said. Now, I will conclude by advising you to practice the virtue that is in accordance with liberation. The five perfections with appearance are merit, and the two accumulations of wisdom and knowledge should be relied upon. If you want to quickly become a Buddha, then the cause of that, the perfection of method with appearance, the five accumulations of merit, such as generosity, and the perfection of wisdom without appearance, the accumulation of wisdom, the nature of reality, emptiness, should be meditated upon. As it is said in the Precious Garland: "Therefore, these two accumulations are the cause of attaining Buddhahood. Therefore, always rely on them." Method and wisdom must be combined, because it is not a good path to hold that the nature of the mind is only emptiness. As it is said in the Sutra of Gathering All Distinctions: "Maitreya, foolish people say that only wisdom is the path, so if that is the case, then my practice of the five perfections for many eons will be meaningless." And in the Sutra Requested by Anavatapta: "The work of the demons of the Bodhisattva is wisdom without method and method without wisdom." And in the Sutra Requested by Ocean of Intelligence: "There will be no manifestation of cause and separation from cause. If you do not strive for the five perfections, then it is the sixth hook of the demon with wisdom." If you do not escape from those hooks of the demon, then what is the use of talking about manifesting complete enlightenment? There is no place. As it is said in the Sutra of Vimalakirti: "A Bodhisattva who only relies on wisdom falls into the Nirvana of the Hearers, and will not go to the non-abiding Nirvana. Therefore, wisdom without method is the bondage of the Bodhisattvas." And in the Collection: "Without method, without wisdom, one falls into the Hearers." And in the Sutra of Gaya Gori: "Wisdom without method is a wrong path, and method without wisdom is a wrong path." And Raptsal

It is said in the Sutra of Subjugation: Without wisdom that is devoid of skillful means, what has not arisen will not arise; and without skillful means that is devoid of wisdom, the wise will not be completely pacified. And in the Dohā it says: Whoever enters emptiness separated from compassion, will not find the supreme path. However, even if one only meditates on compassion, one will remain in samsara and will not attain liberation. Whoever is able to unite these two, will not remain in samsara, nor will they remain in nirvana. Like this, having believed in the countless scriptural citations of sutras and tantras, and with joy, in order to accumulate the two stainless accumulations throughout the ocean of eons, one should put on the great armor. From the Great Vehicle's Instruction Manual, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury: The Extensive Commentary on the Chapter on Thinking About the Law of Cause and Effect, which is the Sixteenth Chapter. . In this way, because of believing in karma and the ripening of karma, thinking about the nature of samsara, thereby generating joy in liberation. Therefore, immediately following what was just said, one should then contemplate the suffering of samsara: Because it is without essence and cannot be permanent, one should strive to quickly escape from the suffering of existence in the three realms and six destinies. Due to the nature of karma and afflictions, involuntarily passing from one to another, sentient beings in the three realms and six destinies have no happiness, drowning in the river of suffering, difficult to endure and not permanent, because it is without essence, one must quickly escape from this place. As Chandrakīrti said: Just as there is no fragrance in impure things, likewise, there is no happiness in the five destinies. So, shouldn't one stay for a long time because one is not tired of samsara? Answer: First, before one has grasped one's own temperature, one has no ability to do things for others. Therefore, in the stage of faith and practice, one must necessarily emerge from samsara. As it is said in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: When I vow to liberate beings from afflictions, if I myself am not liberated from afflictions, I do not even know my own capacity, how is it not madness to speak like this? And as it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: It is not dignified for the supreme bodhisattvas who carry the heavy burden of sentient beings on their heads to walk slowly. Because oneself and others are tightly bound by various kinds of bonds
