Revolving around. Each moment diminishes, and there is nothing that increases. As said before: Like a pond with receding water, without replenishment, only depletion. My life is eternal, how could that be true? Thus it is said. From the time of appearance in samsara, conditioned phenomena are established as being of an impermanent nature, therefore advising to generate weariness: The various containers and inhabitants are moving and changing, like illusions and banana trees, they have no essence. Therefore, this samsara is said to be impermanent. No one can possess, grasp, and not let go. The beings, things, and utensils that appear as containers and contents, the illusions of samsara, happiness and suffering, all are impermanent. As the "Extensive Play Sutra" says: Conditioned things are not stable, they are impermanent, like unbaked pottery, they are of a destructive nature. Like stealing another's property. Like a sandcastle, it is impermanent. Thus it is said. As the "Vimalakirti Sutra" says: Life is unstable, impermanent, and moving, like a clay pot, it is easily destroyed. Thus it is said. Therefore, all conditioned phenomena of samsara are impermanent and without essence. As the "Extensive Play Sutra" says: The qualities of desire are fleeting, like illusions and mirages, they are false, like bubbles of water, they have no essence. Know that this arises from conceptual thought. Thus it is said. Therefore, generate weariness towards the certainty of destruction: In the belly of impermanent Yama, the three realms, along with their abodes, revolve continuously under his control. They do not go elsewhere, they cling to this place. The Lord of Death always holds them tightly. From the moment of birth, they are born to die. All the six kinds of beings, friends who continuously revolve, is it not good to leave from here now? Together with me, let us go to the city of liberation. There, it is adorned with the wealth of the immortal victors, it is always peaceful and blissful, its nature is naturally accomplished. This is the concluding verse. In the section on the small example of samsara, in the "Vinaya Sutra Root, Basis of Dwellings": All of these are seized by the impermanent rakshasa. Generate weariness with definite reasons: The four elements are assembled, therefore the container and its contents are destructible. The city where sentient beings dwell will age. This is also because conditioned phenomena are impermanent.

Things that are assembled from causes and conditions, and impermanent things that appear as vessels, such as water bubbles, even though they are not made by humans. Examples of impermanent changes include clouds, lightning, rainbows, and hailstones. Impermanent things that are born from humans, and things that are impermanent for a short time, such as illusions, mirages, and so on. One should contemplate the impermanence of one's own life, and without delaying for even a moment, one should strive in Dharma. The Extensive Play Sutra says: "Conditioned things are impermanent, like the flame of a lamp. They arise quickly and have the nature of ceasing. Like the wind, they do not remain for long. Like water bubbles, they are weak and without essence. If examined, they are like trees in water, unmoving. Like illusions, the mind is deceived. Until the stainless Buddha's enlightenment is attained, diligence should never decline." Thus it is said. Thinking about the way of definite impermanence: Because it is encompassed by the four extremes, there is nothing that is permanent. Life is uncertain, and one does not know when one will die, so one should think from the depths of one's heart that one will definitely die. Having obtained this support of a human body, it is bound by the four extremes, and there is no time for happiness, so one must practice the supreme Dharma. That is, the end of birth is death, the end of assembly is separation, the end of accumulation is exhaustion, and the end of height is falling, so it is unreliable and must be abandoned. In particular, one's own body, like a water bubble, is sure to be destroyed. One does not know when one will die. Will one die today? Will one die tomorrow? Will one die tonight? Lying in this bed, will one die and not rise again tomorrow? One should think like this. The Sutra of the Auspicious Night says: "Who knows whether one will die tomorrow? One should strive diligently today. The great army of the Lord of Death is not a friend. Do not trust them." Also, the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra says: "It is not right to live comfortably, saying that one will not die today. The great army of the Lord of Death is not a friend. We should not trust them." Also, the Nirvana Sutra says: "This heap of decaying bodies, with many faults, is of the nature of destruction. Old age, sickness, and death constantly torment it. The Dharma of existence is endless, with enemies of change and movement. How can we not go towards death?" Thus it is said. Like a frightened horse, a leaping sheep, a running animal, or a flying bird, death comes suddenly.
