It should be abandoned like this. It should be abandoned like a Chakravarti king not encountering bad lineages. It should be abandoned like a pure monk not touching a decaying corpse. Thus it is said. The advice to not focus the mind on worldly affairs, but to strive in the Dharma: This life's livelihood, friends, and schemes, Enjoyment, partiality, and bad sects, Because leisure and endowment are wasted, it is a great loss, so they should be abandoned. No matter what worldly things are done, there is no great benefit for the future, only sinking into the swamp of samsara, therefore one should resolve to strive in the Dharma. That is to say, the livelihood of fields and land without long-term meaning, friends without long-term meaning, such as spouses and relatives, enjoyment without long-term meaning, such as the management of food and wealth, schemes without long-term meaning, such as this life's prominence, struggles without long-term meaning, such as partiality to enemies and friends, sects without long-term meaning, such as clinging to views, should all be abandoned. Do not let leisure and endowment be wasted, but strive from the depths of your heart in the supreme Dharma. Moreover, living in two homes is full of busyness and is the root of falling away from the Dharma, so long-term meaning cannot be achieved. First, in the worldly home, there is partiality to enemies and friends, management of children and family, worries about taxes and oppression, running around for food and clothing morning and night, nothing can be satisfied, nothing goes smoothly, no matter how you do it, you can't please people, even if you work hard day and night, there is never a time to finish the busyness. There is little thought for the Dharma, and most of what is done is mixed with sin, which is a great root. The fire of attachment and aversion fills the neighborhood, and children are heavy shackles for repaying karmic debts. No matter what is done, suffering is intensified, and the burden is heavy. Compared to one's own suffering, it is even more unbearable to see others complete and prosperous, and there are countless such situations, so one is far from the Dharma. The Sutra Requested by the Bodhisattva Lion's Roar says: In the home, afflictions arise, which destroy all white and pure virtues. Thus it is said. The so-called "two homes," even if one is ordained and upholds them, are still the nature of suffering. Abandoning the small home and entering the big home, managing business and agriculture, becoming a servant of cattle and livestock, striving for the increase of wealth, laboring for old age and death, relatives

The bonds of distrust between teachers and students. The jealousy of competitive minds among friends." "The mountain of the strongest eight worldly concerns. The weakest conduct of ignorance. Because there are so many faults of mixing Dharma and one's own mind, it is extremely difficult to obtain the sacred Dharma of liberation. The Vinaya Sutra says: Giving up small and large household affairs, it is difficult to initially renounce. It also says: Whoever renounces, but does not become a vessel of qualities. Even if hair and beard are shaved, one does not enter the path of practice. Such renunciation is neither renunciation nor being a householder. Like a well without water, a butter lamp in a painting. It also says: The previous sutra says: Those who live at home, because of desire, die without being satisfied. Therefore, if one practices the Dharma properly, it is very important to turn away from the appearances of the world. Holding on with mindfulness and awareness, and diligently arousing effort without distraction, exhorting oneself: Always be cautious with mindfulness and awareness. Thinking of leisure and endowment, practice the Bodhi of liberation. Having obtained such a rare leisure and endowment, if one does not grasp the path of liberation this time, it is worse than returning empty-handed from the Golden Land, so one must practice profound Dharma and somehow grasp the beginning of the path. In all six times of conduct, grasp the mindfulness of not forgetting familiar things, and the reins of awareness that recognize meaningful and meaningless actions. Do not let the six consciousnesses be distracted by external objects, and exhort oneself: For example, if one does not cross the water when there is a boat, one cannot cross it later, so how should one cross it then? When one obtains the boat of leisure and endowment, one must strive. The Bodhicharyavatara says: This boat is difficult to obtain later, foolish ones, do not sleep at this time. Similarly, when one has a swift steed of intelligence, one must travel a long road. When warmth, moisture, and fertilizer are abundant, what seeds should one sow? The army of heroes
