etc. are false like that. Thus it is said. Refuting the object of focus: It is not permissible for the ālaya to focus on the vast container and contents, because if the general meaning of the container and contents appears, then it will be ascertained by conceptual thought as manifest, and if it is clear that it is non-existent, then it will become not focused on the actual container and contents, and if the self-characterized meaning appears, then it will be subject to harm by darkness and obscurations, and if only the container and contents are focused on, then it will also be subject to focusing on one's own retinue. There are three refutations of the seed: it is not reasonable to be neither one nor different from the maturation; refutation of the division of habitual tendencies; refutation of capacity. First, the very nature of the seed cannot be different from the maturation, because it does not arise from the establisher, so it will become without cause, and because there are two substances of the ālaya, it will be subject to two streams. It is also not permissible to be one, because it is impossible for a part to be both the producer and the produced. Second, it is not permissible for the divider and the divided to be simultaneous, because the habitual tendencies will be subject to two parts. If they are not simultaneous, then it is not permissible to divide, because when the divided exists, the divider does not exist. Refutation of capacity: In general, it is impossible for anything to have any capacity, because if the cause ceases, there is no cause for arising, so capacity is not established, and it is impossible to arise from what has not ceased, because permanent things are impossible, so capacity is negated. Therefore, although it is said to be the ālaya in illusion, it is like a dream, because it does not exist in things, so establishment is impossible. In the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra it says: There is no self-awareness, and there is no other-awareness. There is no ālaya, and there is no thing. Foolish children, logicians, examine these as if they were corpses. Thus it is said. There is no afflicted mind, because the object of focus, the ālaya, does not exist, and because afflictions are not established, and because the mind is not established as a continuum or an instant. It is also not permissible for the main and subordinate to not focus on each other, because all phenomena that are the objects of mind-consciousness will be subject to not being, and the ālaya will be subject to not focusing on all containers and contents, and all-knowing wisdom will be subject to not appearing to present phenomena. There is also no cessation, because the objects to be negated, the six aggregates, etc., are false, and the basis of negation, the suchness, does not exist. Suchnesstruly established༼༡༽does not exist in either nature or convention, and if it is one with appearance, it will become impermanent.

Thus. Because if a person, phenomena are not all-pervasive, it follows that they do not exist anywhere. The self and knowledge to be refuted are because the dharma is false; and the thusness of a pot is because it is made. The Prajnaparamita Sutra says, "Thusness is not found." Refuting the way of knowing of wisdom is: Buddhas should not appear to have impure external objects, because it would be mistaken. It should also not be invisible, because it would not be seen directly by all knowable objects. It is also not possible to know by the power of knowing the mind that appears for the benefit of beings, because "meaning appearance" is a distinction of meaning, and it is also false, so it is inferred to take falsehood as its object. Not the intention of the Able One means that it is not intended to be the three natures of non-self-existence. The Samadhiraja Sutra says: "All dharmas are always empty of nature, if the sons of the Victorious One destroy objects, all things are empty, only those who have a small part of emptiness, heretics do not argue with them." And "One without one is the worst of emptiness." It is said. For all dharmas that are unborn and unceasing, it is intended that their own nature is unborn, etc. The commentary says: "Because of emptiness by its own nature, emptiness is established as twenty." Like this. Dependent origination is free from extremes, and it does not arise only from causes and conditions, but exists from the beginning. The Prajnaparamita Sutra says, "All dharmas do not come from anywhere and do not go anywhere." It is not just pure selflessness, but because it is purified by birth, death, going and coming. The Prajnaparamita Sutra says, "What is called the purity of all dharmas is unborn by nature." What is inexpressible is also existent, not the inexpressible of the inexpressible, but because it is inexpressible because it is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence. The Prajnaparamita Sutra says, "What is called inexpressible is unthinkable, invisible, and beyond all objects." Like a mirage, it is not born from causes and conditions. The Prajnaparamita Sutra says, "The unconditioned emptiness is like a dream, like a mirage. Nirvana is also like a dream, like a mirage." Therefore, the dharma that appears but is empty of nature is called illusion. Therefore, the Buddha's intention is not to say that there are real things. The Entering the Middle Way ends.
