Deception. (3) "By its power, it is difficult to obtain a human body." So it is said. Also, in the same text, it says: If one teaches the very profound Great Vehicle to those who have not diligently practiced the Two Vehicles, whose faculties are not mature, and whose diligence is weak, then both the one who teaches and the one who listens will obtain an extremely heavy sinful result, which is to oppose all the Sugatas. Therefore, those who claim to understand me (4), furthermore, those who hold to annihilationism, who hold to the absence of cause and effect, who slander virtue and vice, who falsely claim the Great Vehicle, who destroy the sacred Dharma, who teach what is not Dharma as Dharma, and who teach what is Dharma as not Dharma, are those with great wrong views, who, though dwelling as humans, are actually rakshasas, and for countless eons, it is difficult to obtain a human body. If one pours milk into a container without first pouring out the dirty water, then due to the fault of the container, both the container and its contents become corrupted. Likewise, both the master and the disciple are corrupted by arrogance. The fool who, with arrogance, recklessly clings to the view of emptiness, and does not abandon the ten non-virtuous actions, even if diligently practicing the Great Vehicle, it is impossible for the realization of the nature of reality to arise, just as a leaky boat entering the ocean, or sowing seeds in sandy soil, or food mixed with a little poison, is unusable, or like applying perfume to a rotting corpse. Falling into evil realms and evil paths, falling into great evil paths (1), therefore, there is no opportunity for liberation. Therefore, one should enter the Dharma gradually, like a container. In short, those who seek to attain liberation must gradually study many Dharmas. Because one cannot travel many paths at once, nor can one attain liberation through a single Dharma, it is advised to gradually study various methods. After that, the Dharma to be taught is the categories of vehicles, all the places of what should be taken and what should be abandoned. For beginners, one should teach cause and effect, for those who have entered the path, one should teach the categories of vehicles, and for those who practice benefiting others, one should teach the five sciences, etc. One should teach the profound and vast stages. Therefore, those who desire enlightenment should be skilled in all places of what should be taken and what should be abandoned, and knowing their nature arises from determining what should be established. Also, the determinants of what is measured by the categories of vehicles are all that is encompassed by samsara and nirvana.

The included dharmas are entered into by knowing what should be known, what should be abandoned, and what should be adopted. Dharma refers to its nature encompassing ten objects. As it is said in the Commentary on Valid Cognition: "Dharma is what should be known, the path, nirvana and the object of mind, merit, life and the sacred teachings, the future, certainty and the rule of law." From this perspective, the dharmas of samsara, such as afflictions, refer to knowing what should be abandoned. The dharmas of nirvana, such as purification, refer to knowing what should be adopted, which is the way to ascertain the sphere of activity of the Four Noble Truths. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: "Disease is what should be known, the cause of disease is what should be abandoned, just as one relies on medicine to attain a state of well-being. Suffering, the cause of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path, should be known, abandoned, attained, and cultivated." Therefore, as a branch of its means, the way of determining the definitive is also that the dharmas that appear in various ways are vast, and the essence of emptiness by nature exists profoundly, and it is determined by the two truths. Words and letters, the collection of scriptures, the nature of vast explanation, hearing, and contemplation, and the oral instructions transmitted from the venerable guru, which transcend words and letters, are determined by key points, and the profound aspects of the meaning of dharmata immediately arise in the continuum. These are the dharmas to be determined here. For those who are wise and have great bodhicitta, and thus engage in benefiting others, the profound and vast places are all taught. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: "If one does not strive in the five sciences, even the supreme conquerors will not attain omniscience. In order to subdue and guide others, and to know everything oneself, therefore one studies it." For the initial practitioners, the benefits of liberation and the faults of samsara, impermanence of life and faith in cause and effect are explained. As it is said in the Ratnakuta Sutra: "For those who have entered into liberation, the dharma that accords with their intelligence and inclination is taught." Like that. For those who make the practice of renunciation the essence, the profound key points that are concise in words and condensed in meaning, and thus quickly lead to liberation, are taught, because life is short, words are numerous, and there is no essence in anything. The venerable Atisha said: "This life is short, there are many things to know, the measure of life
