Quickly fall into the hell of killing. As it is said in the Tantra of Taking the Essence: "If one who has entered the supreme mantra holds a mind to harm, he will surely fall into the cold hell." Therefore, never think of the guru's faults. Even if the guru appears to hate for some reason, one should confess without guilt, and regard it as a cause for eliminating sins, and rely on him with reverence, thinking of his virtues. Then, pleasing the guru with the offering of practice is the offering of following the practice as taught: contemplate the meaning of the holy teachings, go to a quiet place and diligently practice the essential meaning, spend time in practice, and inherit the lineage of the previous gurus. Following the practice as taught by the venerable guru is the most excellent of all offerings. The Buddhas and the successive gurus have all appeared because of the Dharma, and this is the purpose of their appearance in the world. Therefore, one should properly accept and reject what is heard, and practice well. However, this hearing also depends on the venerable guru, so one should rely on many gurus, seek hearing without bias, and practice it. When practicing, one should practice with an undeviating mind, and not just stay at the level of knowledge, but integrate the meaning into practice. When practicing, one should not let it become an empty form, but integrate the Dharma with oneself and practice. At the same time, one should practice diligently with the union of skillful means and wisdom, without sparing any effort. By practicing in this way, one can make the guru and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas happy, which is the conduct of the holy ones. As it is said in the Ornament of Clear Realization: "It is the conduct that pleases the Buddhas." And as it is said in the Middle Length Prajnaparamita Sutra: "If one diligently practices the teachings of a virtuous friend, all the Buddhas will praise, extol, and honor him." Other benefits are also immeasurable. In short, as it is said in the Bodhisattva Pitaka: "My teachings are easy to understand, and they are in accordance with the teachings of the teacher, so one can master the seven noble riches. The guru extensively teaches the Dharma and makes it clear, so one can cut off poverty and ultimately attain unsurpassed Bodhi."

Ro! Furthermore, possessing the seven precious gems, a thousand sons, and the four continents, as a Chakravartin who triumphs in all four directions, one should show reverence to the master astrologer, the people of the land, and so forth. Without attachment to the qualities of desire, one should renounce with faith and quickly attain the five superknowledges. Both humans and non-humans will show reverence, and in every birth, one will be renowned for supreme intelligence, wisdom, and courage. All beings will show reverence, and upon becoming a Buddha, one will bestow the bliss of morality, samadhi, and liberation upon all beings, and will become manifestly superior to all worlds. Thus it is said. From the Gongdü: The noble Sugatas of the past, Having pleased the noble guide, Departed to the end of solitary hermitages, And attained true liberation through practice. Therefore, if one follows in this way, One will inherit the liberation of the Victorious Ones. Therefore, to the kind and precious guru, With unwavering faith, With gentleness free from arrogance, With generosity free from miserliness, With service free from hesitation, With sincere speech free from deceit, With pure nature free from flattery, With wisdom free from ignorance, And with eight pure intentions free from defilement, Offer them completely to that guru. Thus it is. In this way, the offering of practice fulfills the needs of listening and contemplation, and perfects the meaning of meditation. Therefore, following the lineage of accomplished gurus, one becomes the heir to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Therefore, abandoning the places of samsara, one should strive to make practice the essence in a solitary, peaceful forest. The benefit of this is stated in the Bodhisattva Pitaka Sutra: Those who engage in practicing the guru's instructions will fully engage in ten inexpressible hundreds of thousands of kotis of billions of extraordinary intentions. That many powers will increase, that many blessings will arise, that many obscurations will be purified, That many hosts of demons will be overcome, that many doors of Dharma will be entered, That many accumulations will be completed, that many conducts will be purified, That many aspirations will be fulfilled, that many qualities will be attained. In short, the complete perfection of all the Buddha's teachings depends on the guru.
