Someone, having perfected and abided in the second dhyana attained by their own dharma nature, then arose and said: "This is the joy, bliss, and peace born of solitude." The sound of these words effortlessly spread throughout Jambudvipa in an instant. As soon as others heard that sound, they also trained in its wake, perfected the second dhyana, and abided therein. Then, those beings, initially severed from similar minds by luminosity, would also attain that samadhi and be born into the race of luminous gods. When there is not a single being left in Jambudvipa, the people of the eastern Purvavideha will also become like the people of Jambudvipa. Then, the western Aparagodaniya will also change. Then, the northerners of Uttarakuru will be born as gods of the Thirty-Three, because they have not separated from attachment to desires. The three continents are born into higher realms because they are naturally weary of desire. The subcontinents are similar to the main continent. When there is not a single person left in the continents and subcontinents, it is called the destruction of the human world. After that, the desire realm gods will also be destroyed, just as humans attain dhyana and are born into the higher race of luminous beings. Similarly, the desire realm gods also attain the second dhyana. When they are born as luminous beings, it is called the emptiness of the desire realm. The way the six desire realm gods are destroyed is that, from the Four Great Kings to Paranirmitavasavartin, a single god hears the proclamation of how to attain dhyana, and, taking this as a cause, meditates, and, like before, attains the second dhyana and is born as a luminous god. When there are no beings in the desire realm gods, it is called the destruction of the desire realm. Immediately after the destruction of the desire realm. Then, the destruction of the form realm is also the same. The sound of proclaiming the attainment of the second dhyana is heard. Having heard it, they strive diligently, and all the Brahma gods. Being born as luminous gods, the Brahma abode becomes empty. Then, the way the form realm is destroyed is that, in that Brahma world, any being enters into the second dhyana attained by their own dharma nature, and then expresses it in words as before.

Upagupta thus instructed, and after death, he was reborn as a radiant deity. He passed away in the Brahma world when there were no sentient beings there. Likewise, when all beings in the world no longer exist, there will be no rain. Because there is no rain, all the grass, trees, and medicines that grow on this great earth will wither. After the dependent sentient beings have perished, the basis of dependence, the vessel world, will also naturally be destroyed. The principle is: sentient beings perish, and then the vessel world perishes. Fire, water, and wind successively burn, cleanse, and scatter. First, burn with fire, then cleanse with water, and then scatter everything with wind. In this order, everything disappears, and it becomes one with the void. First, the principle of burning with fire: one sun burns grass, trees, and forests; two suns dry up all ponds and rivers; three suns dry up all major and minor rivers; four suns dry up the great Anavatapta Lake; five suns dry up the ocean by more than a hundred yojanas, gradually until not a single drop of water remains. Six suns burn the great earth along with the snow mountains; seven suns burn everything without residue, up to Mount Meru, the continents, and the golden foundation. The reason it is determined to be seven suns is because there are seven things to be burned. Due to the power of the karma of those sentient beings who are about to perish, in this empty vessel world, this one sun appears many times, causing the grass and trees that grow on this great earth to dry up. After a long time, two suns appear in the world, and all ponds and small streams dry up completely. After a long time, three suns appear, and all major and minor rivers dry up. Similarly, the fourth sun dries up the great Anavatapta Lake. The fifth sun dries up the great ocean to a depth of more than a hundred yojanas, and then to two hundred, seven hundred, a thousand, ten thousand, and eighty thousand yojanas, until finally only one yojana, half a krosha, or the size of a cow's hoofprint of water remains, and then it dries up without a single drop left. When six suns appear, the great earth, along with the snow mountains and protruding mountains, is burned. When seven suns appear, Mount Meru, surrounded by seven mountains, and the surrounding iron fence,
