Self, the single gate of wisdom, three similes, understood through four methods, therefore considered to be thirty-two. The single gate is because one's own senses cannot perceive it. The three similes are: the simile of causelessness, like mushrooms sprouting from a meadow; the simile of fruitlessness, like ashes scattered by the wind; the simile of arising from inherent nature, like the sun rising, rivers flowing downwards, lentils being round, thorns being sharp and long, the king's daughter being beautiful. As it is said: "No one made them, they arose from inherent nature." The four methods are: although there is no before or after, the state of happiness and suffering, etc., exists in the present world; although there is no before or after transfer of self and lord, the state of being inherently present when a body is suddenly formed; the ability of the five elements, such as earth, to generate wisdom, the state of beings being formed from the aggregation of sudden causes; although liberation is not achieved through the path of practice and asceticism, but is born with inherent liberation, if one knows the reality of no cause and effect, then there is no need to rely on hardship in this life, therefore the tenets of the Tirthikas are not meaningless, and at the time of natural death, the state of all liberation abiding in the same realm of reality. As it is said: "With three similes and four methods, all things are certainly established through one gate. Since anything arises without cause, how can bondage and liberation exist?" Thus it is declared. The six ministers are: Minister Fearless Attainment, Sun and Moon Fame, Essence Attainment, Truth Attainment, Well-Spoken, Auspicious Attainment. These people say that everything used and existing in the world is real, not according to the views of Buddhists and Tirthikas. That is, constellations, stars, seasons, deities, places of divination, and protectors of the state, measuring the six treasuries of wisdom, and mainly focusing on judging the good and bad of the present. Those six places of accomplishment, dividing them into three, astrologers show the good and bad of constellations and dates, kings understand the law through the Dharma of the gods, the deeds of Chakravartins, etc., thereby governing the people, merchants enter the categories of divination, such as horses, elephants, and the ocean, and guides protect the state.

And distinguishing the places of the vanquisher and the defeated, etc., and ordinary people engage in the affairs of the seasons. Since they are summarized as the king, the meritorious, and the people, the ministers, merchants, and ordinary people should be united as one. Their six common cultures, and these six should be known by the five: the king, the ministers, the wise, the merchants, and the people, so they are established as thirty-six. The four incidental heretics are the four with the consciousness of desire, attachment, distraction, and wandering. These people say that liberation is attained by enjoying the pleasures of this life, so they are established as four: desiring sensual pleasures, being attached to sensual pleasures, the mind being distracted by them, and the mind wandering from them. The six schools of logic are: the school of driving away hail, the school of gnawing at wall skins, the school of the fox's head traveling alone, the school of the world's long shot, the school of the complete annihilation of cause and effect, and the school of meaningless chatter. These are the six schools separated from the causeless. The four views of cause are: viewing self-nature as cause, viewing the agent as cause, viewing Ishvara as cause, and viewing time as cause. These are the four separated from the view of permanence. The two teachers are: the permanent teacher Shangka Dungdzin and the annihilationist teacher Bhriva Hati. These two are the fundamental permanent and annihilationist. Saying that the edge of the Vedas is secret is the practitioner. Thus, the equal schools are eight, the permanent school is one hundred and one. The deniers are eighteen, the meditators are twenty-eight, the six ministers are thirty-six, the incidental are four, the logic schools are six. The four views of cause, the two teachers, the secret one, totaling three hundred, which rely on the present edge. Relying on the past edge are eighteen, which are four thoughts of permanence and annihilation of self and the world, four thoughts of permanence, four thoughts of edge, four who say to abandon gods and humans, and two who say there is no cause. Thinking about the future edge are forty-four, which are sixteen thoughts of consciousness, eight thoughts of unconsciousness, eight thoughts of both consciousness and unconsciousness, seven belonging to the category of annihilation, and five who say to be liberated from suffering. Refuting these views is: if these views are summarized, they are the two views of permanence and annihilation, which do not correspond to the changes of coarse and fine, and are meaningless.
