The medium has three levels: superior, medium, and inferior. The superior of the medium and the medium of the medium. The inferior of the medium has three types. The way of liberation for the superior of the medium is: liberation occurs in three instants. First, appearances converge inward. The five consciousnesses of the five senses are purified. The inner elements dissolve into light. The five consciousnesses likewise converge. The display of awareness merges into the ground, like fragments of color being put together. At that time, the four winds gradually subside, and the wind of karma, devoid of compassion, rises from the life-force channel. At that time, one enters the path from the place, and quickly enters the gate from the path. The five gates arise in the expanse of dharmata. Riding on the rope of the continuous compassion, one enters the self-radiance of wisdom. This is the first instant. At that time, the appearance of the body arises, wisdom arises, and the forty-two deities manifest clearly, like images in a mirror. It is the intention endowed with the five wisdoms. Because it has been explained in detail above, it will not be repeated here. From that, the consciousness of phenomena arises. The arrangement of the three bodies is that the rays of the six syllables radiate, becoming the nirmanakaya, accomplishing all purposes. At that time, the intention of the perfect completion is fulfilled. This is the second instant. After that, one enters nirvana, transcending the mind and the phenomena of samsara, transcending and dissolving into the state of non-abiding. The one wisdom eye is immutably clear. The intention of the great perfect completion is fulfilled. This is the third instant. The way of liberation for the medium of the medium is: first, the confusion of inner and outer ceases. Second, self-radiance manifests as light. Third, one abides in that for an instant. Fourth, self-appearance arises in an instant. Fifth, the intention endowed with the five is fulfilled. Surely destroying the four maras of ignorance, the forty-two deities manifest enlightenment. Endowed with six consciousnesses, six recollections. Like the sun rising from the expanse of the sky, the wisdom of omniscient knowledge arises. The six syllables, beginning with karma, radiate. This is the cause of the nirmanakaya, the two aspects of karma and person, radiate between gathering and scattering. The two, white and red, are the cause of the body. The six syllables are bodhicitta. When the cause of the mind arises on the cause of the body, awareness abides in the expanse of white and red. Abiding is the state of abiding hidden, the state of body and mind. Gradually perfecting the body, the nirmanakaya accomplishes the benefit of beings. For all beings without exception, self-aware wisdom is inherently present, the essence is immutable.

There is no obstruction. That meaning shall surely be proclaimed. The essence of the heart appears to beings. Because the Teacher's intention is fulfilled. The essence is hidden upon the essence of the fruit of mind. By that, liberation will surely be attained. The intention of the middling Completion Stage is fulfilled. Then, in the sixth instant. The Buddha completely transcends suffering and passes away. By the powers of the winds of wisdom. First, the Dharmakaya moves into the Rupakaya. Finally, it gradually dissolves. The winds of wisdom arise in the nature of reality. At that time, the signs of the elements dissolve into their own places. The Nirmanakaya, the five elements, dissolve into the five lights. Those five are liberated into the source of the elements of the nature of wisdom. Having arisen from the mother, it dissolves into the nature of the mother. Although it first arises, it also arises in the nature of space. Although it abides in the middle, it abides in the realm of Dharmata. Although it finally dissolves, it also dissolves in the nature of Dharmata. The three eyes are pure, immutable, and clearly one. In the nature of Dharmata, the wisdom of awareness abides. It is not clear outwardly, but wisdom is clear inwardly. Like a lamp shining inside a vase. At that time, the immutable three bodies hold their own ground. The intention of the middling Great Perfection Stage is fulfilled. The way of liberation at the end of the middle stage is this. The five outer elements dissolve back into the five lamps that perform actions, and are separated from the objects to be grasped. The lamps that illuminate the five gates are gathered into the power of wisdom, and are separated from grasping and conceptualization. The five inner elements are gathered into the five appearances of the power of awareness and wisdom. They are gathered into the basis of power. At that time, in the realm of the precious jewel, the union of the sun and moon in the heart, they are merged into one realm of wisdom without separation. That, the self-place of the sheath of habitual tendencies, abides in the first instant. At that time, the signs of the four elements fleeing their places arise in sequence. The five, such as the wind of karma without compassion, are as follows. The wind that lifts resides in the joints, making the body light and able to move. When that subsides, the body cannot support itself, and that is the wind that accompanies earth. The wind that creates radiance and splendor pervades the entire body. That is called the pervasive wind. It brings out the oiliness and radiance of the body, and because it is extremely weakened, even a subtle circumstance can cause it to flee, causing the body to separate and the radiance to fade. That is the wind that accompanies water. When that subsides, the flesh deteriorates. The wind that accompanies fire resides in the stomach. It digests food and warms the body.
