In detail, everything is clearly shown here, and what is explained for the purpose of necessity is that, from the three confusions, one naturally returns, and after liberation in stages of superior, intermediate, and inferior, the cycle like a precious jewel is completely taught. Thus, although the three, tantra, agama, and upadesha, all teach with the same method of action, they are established as different in terms of intention and purpose. The essence is unchanging and continuous, and because the collection of words is vast and interconnected, it is called tantra. The wisdom of all intentions, and the terms that represent it as a place of faith, are spoken in an intermediate way, so it is called agama. Because the difficult-to-understand points of intention are explained in a concise and easy-to-understand way as practical instructions with examples, meanings, and signs, it is called upadesha. Tantra extensively shows the elaboration on empowerment and generation-completion stages. Agama is the actual instruction and the definitive explanation of the root vows, taught in an intermediate way. Upadesha is the practical instruction that is definitely given in a concise manner, and it is taught with little elaboration. Here, to measure the single essence of Dzogchen, it is elaborated with profound and vast tantras, summarized in agamas, and condensed into upadeshas, so what is said has no confusion in meaning, no flaws in words, no separation of expression and meaning, and the practical instruction is through the lineage of vision. The superior faculties attain Buddhahood in this life, the intermediate in the bardo, and even the inferior are liberated without delay in the next life, so it is particularly excellent because it teaches with definite certainty. The combination of tantra, agama, and upadesha fulfills all desired purposes perfectly, just like the combination of king, ministers, and subjects. As it says in that very text: In general, tantras, agamas, and upadeshas are said to be like king, ministers, and people. These are the unchanging vows, the vajra places, and are extremely precious. Second, relying on the path of inferring meaning from similar sounds is twofold: briefly explaining the meaning, and elaborating in detail through divisions. First, Dzogchen is, because the ground is firmly established without moving from its own place, it transcends the limits of going elsewhere and diligent practice, so the paths and bhumis and paramitas, like the lower drop of cause and effect, are not valued, because awareness is self-born wisdom, and there is no path or diligent practice. Here, its self-resonance, contemplating without moving from its own place, and actually practicing, are also not valued as common paths, because the way of meditating on the path is different. However, the way of purification is,
