It is called "Lung." Because it is grasped, it is called "Lung." Because it is easily understood, it is called "Lung." Because it is easy to carry, it is called "Lung." The example is like the king's command, and like grasping from the Lung of a vessel, and like not being easy to carry without the Lung of a vessel, and like being easy to carry with the Lung of a vessel, and like a mud peg. So it is said. From the method of explanation, it is explained through five greatnesses: being trustworthy, unchanging, having excellent words, being without error, and containing all teachings. From that itself it says: Lungs are explained through five greatnesses. The body of the teacher is completely pure, initially without cause, without conditions in the middle, and unchanging in the end. Because faults have been exhausted, he does not speak false words. Because there is no cause, what is spoken from the mouth is true. It is great because of the unchanging Lung. For the sake of the definitive retinue, for the benefit of Garab Dorje, from what was spoken from the mouth of the teacher, the unerring Lung is on a precious golden scroll. Because it is written in its own place with lapis lazuli juice, the words are not mixed with error. It is the greatness of Lung. The view of the three, generation, completion, and non-separation, is shown undifferentiated in the manner of leaves, flowers, and fruits, so it is in accordance with all mantras. Not contradicting the general Lung, it contains the teachings of all mantras. Therefore, Lung is great because it is trustworthy. So it is said. Third, regarding the oral instructions, there are six aspects: essence, definition, classification, example, essence, and method of explanation. The essence of oral instructions is the place where profound views and the concise words that show them are gathered and connected. The definition is the supreme method of small words with great meaning. The classification includes oral instructions of meaning, which are the profound views of the Sugata hidden in the hearts of the lamas, and oral instructions of words, which are expressed in words. The first is like a mother advising her son, as it says in the Explanatory Tantra: The essence of the meaning of oral instructions, and the definition of the name are shown. The classification is shown together with examples. The essence of the oral instructions of meaning is that it extracts the meaning hidden from the heart, dwells in the heart of the teacher Vajra, clear but not spoken. The essence of the oral instructions of words is that the collection of words spoken from the mouth, without error, is combined with meaning and guidance, easily.

为了理解而添加目录，是为了使词义清晰。本体、分类、例子都已展示。关于它的定义是：费力小而意义重大的口诀，什么是纯粹的决定性意义呢？是不可言说的秘密口诀。定义是具有确定性的理由，就像母亲教导儿子一样。如是说。其精华是三续的基础道，果的词、义和关联三者简短易懂，用例子、征象、意义三者来表示。即：身、语、意三续，三藏是所有口诀的基础。基础的安住方式口诀，以及讲述它的词的口诀，词与义结合的口诀三者，总摄的口诀这三个词，是从身语意三藏中取出。要知道是三种精华。如是说。取出的方式是，例子不错乱，从显现无边的心中，化现水晶佛塔，从身的藏中取出，以表示象征。征象不错乱，菩提心灯从不动佛的眼睛中化现，从而结合。意义不错乱，从普贤王如来的法界中取出，从而认识安住方式的自性。从身中取出例子，从语中化现词，从心中结合意义，这样以例子、意义、征象三者取出诀窍的精华。讲述方法有五种，又是其中说到：口诀意义的讲述方式是，用五种共同意义来讲述。讲述历史意义，讲述根本意义，讲述词义，讲述瑜伽意义，讲述需要意义。历史意义有三种：因为不是暂时造作的人，所以讲述三世佛的传承，使人相信是佛所说。因为是决定意义的眷属，所以讲述持明表示的传承，使人相信不是隐晦的意图，而是决定性的意义。向未来的人讲述耳传，使人相信关联没有断绝。讲述根本意义是，讲述自明大智慧。讲述词义是，组合本体确定的词，是三身佛所说的规矩，通过讲述象征的确定的意义，要像上面所说的那样理解。讲述瑜伽意义是，分开大乘的血脉来讲述，身的续和秘密。

Regarding its definition: A pith instruction that requires little effort but has great meaning, what is the pure definitive meaning? It is the inexpressible secret pith instruction. The definition is a reason with certainty, like a mother teaching her son. Thus it is said. Its essence is the basis and path of the three tantras. The three aspects of the fruit—words, meaning, and connection—are concise and easy to understand, represented by three things: example, sign, and meaning. That is: the three continuums of body, speech, and mind, the three treasuries are the basis of all pith instructions. The pith instruction of the abiding mode of the base, and the pith instruction of the words that express it, the three pith instructions that combine words and meaning, the pith instruction that summarizes these three words, are taken from the treasuries of body, speech, and mind. Know that there are three essences. Thus it is said. The way of taking it out is that the example is not mistaken, from the mind of the boundless appearance, a crystal stupa is manifested, taken from the treasury of the body, to represent the symbol. The sign is not mistaken, the lamp of bodhicitta is manifested from the eyes of Akshobhya, thereby combining. The meaning is not mistaken, taken from the Dharmadhatu of Samantabhadra, thereby recognizing the self-nature of the abiding mode. Taking the example from the body, manifesting the words from the speech, combining the meaning from the mind, thus taking out the essence of the pith instruction with the three: example, meaning, and sign. There are five ways of explaining, and again it is said: The way of explaining the meaning of the pith instruction is to explain it with five common meanings. Explaining the historical meaning, explaining the fundamental meaning, explaining the meaning of words, explaining the meaning of yoga, explaining the meaning of need. There are three kinds of historical meaning: Because it is not a temporarily created person, the lineage of the Buddhas of the three times is explained, making people believe that it is what the Buddha said. Because it is the retinue of definitive meaning, the lineage indicated by the vidyadharas is explained, making people believe that it is not an obscure intention, but a definitive meaning. Telling the ear-whispered transmission to future people, making people believe that the connection is not broken. Explaining the fundamental meaning is, explaining the self-luminous great wisdom. Explaining the meaning of words is, combining the words that determine the essence, is the rule spoken by the three bodies of the Buddha, by explaining the definitive meaning of the symbol, it should be understood as said above. Explaining the meaning of yoga is, separating the lifeblood of the Mahayana to explain, the tantra of the body and the secret.
