Because of absence, it is greater than all. Because it is self-nature, it cannot be sought. Without seeking, it is spontaneously accomplished, greatly. Because self does not cultivate self, Therefore, without effort, it transcends effort and accomplishment, greatly. Because there is no gathering or separation in the meaning of realization, it is great. Because it is immutable, it cannot be used, it is great. Because there is no object on the path without going, it is great. All dharmas are self-nature, greatly. Inferior ones do not know. Therefore, it is said that self-nature is great. Thus it is said. The symbolic sign. Because of the four signs without letters, it is superior, so there is no metaphor. Because the three bodies have no gathering or separation, it is great in meaning. Because the far-reaching wisdom is clear, it is great as a sign. The four signs are certainly metaphors. It is certain that there is no gathering or separation in meaning. The lamp of wisdom is certainly a sign. Therefore, it is great with three certainties. The first teacher and so on, It is great with five definitive subjugations and definitive gatherings. Because it is Buddha, it is called great. Thus it is said. Self-awareness, immutable Dharmakaya, Because there is no grasping, it is beyond thought. Because it cannot be meditated upon, it is particularly superior. In the Dharmakaya, insubstantial and transparent, Because there is no object to be taken as an object, Therefore, it is non-dual and particularly superior. In the insubstantial and peaceful awareness, There are no characteristics of elaboration and substance. It is great and superior with its own great radiance. In the self-aware, non-dual great bliss, Because there is no impartial symbolic metaphor, Therefore, it cannot be symbolized and is superior. In the Dharmakaya, self-born wisdom, Because there are no causes and conditions, it is not fabricated. Because there is no change, it is pure. Self-awareness is free from the five stains, Everything is Buddha, it is said to be great. Thus it is said. Showing error and obscuration is divided into two: generally showing error and obscuration, and specifically showing the presence or absence of error and obscuration. First, there are four aspects: essence, definition, division, and symbolic example. As stated in the Explanatory Tantra: The essence of error and obscuration is ignorance. The definition of error and obscuration is: Not seeing the superior is obscuration, Using the meaning of the inferior is error. If you classify error and obscuration, there are many numbers, If you summarize, there are four types. The error and obscuration of views, The error and obscuration of meditation, The error and obscuration of conduct, The error and obscuration of results. Showing the symbolic example of error and obscuration: Seeking meaning in the north but going to the south, Going to the south does not accomplish the meaning of the north. Wanting the meaning of the superior but using the inferior, The inferior cannot obtain the meaning of the superior. Thus it is said. The second is: the lower eight are error and obscu

For those with obscurations, Ati is taught as being without error and obscuration. It says: The errors and obscurations of the nine bindus, if separated, are inconceivable. If combined, there are thirty-six four views, meditations, actions, and results for each of the eight vehicles, with four roots. The four views, meditations, actions, and results, the three characteristic divisions have many obscurations. Thirty-six plus two (if the root is not added), and the eight roots have three levels. They abide in twelve, eight, and four. The three divisions of the outsiders have the same errors and obscurations. The twelve obscurations are cut off by darkness. There are twelve places of falling into error. The two divisions of the insiders also have errors, thirty-two and the eight roots have levels. The obscurations abide in four and eight. In the single bindu of Dzogchen, there is no duality of error and non-error. The nature of error is completely pure. The single one free from all, generally not abandoned. Since the view, meditation, action, and result of Ati are primordially non-dual, there is no error or obscuration that appears as dual. The four views, meditations, actions, and results are primordially self-arisen wisdom, so there is no error or obscuration from the aggregation of causes and conditions. Since the view, meditation, action, and result of Dzogchen are spontaneously accomplished, striving for meditation and practice is effort. The place of error and obscuration is completely pure. Since there is nothing other than me above, it is the unobscured clear wisdom. What appears below the eight vehicles is also my compassionate activity. Abiding in the state of non-dual wisdom, since it is unmixed perfect wisdom, the place of falling into error is completely pure. From the self-clarity of non-dual wisdom, error and obscuration are clearly distinguished without separation. Thus it is said. Furthermore, the lower ones, with their different mental discriminations and efforts in practice, have such errors that are not so, and obscurations from not seeing the meaning. Since Ati directly sees the single self-arisen wisdom, there is no effort in practice, so there is no error or obscuration. The example is: Again, it says: Alas! Great Bodhisattva, if you speak of the duality of grasper and grasped, that is said to be the view of the Hearers. If there is grasping but no grasped, that is said to be the view of the Solitary Realizers. If you speak of mind and appearance, and ultimate truth and conventional truth, that is said to be the view of the Bodhisattvas. For those who agree with all ultimate truth, the assemblies that desire the three lineages are said to be the view of the outer Kriya. Those who desire two parts are said to be the view of Upa. Words symbolizing the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment appear.
