, and without realizing transcendence of action effort, one cannot find the meaning of continuous samadhi. If one does not know that there is meditation, there is no difference from ordinary people. Ordinary people go astray in self-control. By knowing meditation without meditation, the sole Buddha is inseparable. By knowing the meaning of not meditating through meditation, one turns away from the edge of target-oriented mind. By understanding the meaning of non-duality, one is free from the limitations of clinging to that direction. By showing the meaning of there being meditation, the basis of reality reaches its end. Thus it is said. There are three ways of meditating: the method of learning, the content of learning, and showing the extent of proficiency. The first is divided into outer, inner, and secret. The outer is to abandon confusing actions and place the three doors in their natural state, thereby causing the root-winds to settle slowly and evenly, and awareness to abide in its natural state. The inner is to remain in the posture of looking without moving the body, eyes, and wind, thereby causing conceptual thoughts to stop in their own place and the key to the spontaneous appearance of clear light. The secret is divided into: the king being placed on the throne, the ministers being imprisoned, and the subjects being subdued. The first is: self-awareness abiding without moving from the ground, that is, at the location of the five bindus, self-awareness is not distracted, and abiding by restraining any of the three radiances and three self-essences. The body takes the posture of the seven-fold dharma, or any of the postures of a sage, elephant, or lion. The movement of the wind is extremely slow, and the eyes are fixed on the center of the sky, which is the intention of the Thus-Gone One. Looking straight into space, slightly bend the neck and place the chin on the shoulder. The wind naturally stops, approaching the contemplation of the Bodhisattva. The eyes are lowered, and the neck is slightly bent. The wind is naturally calmed, which is the mind-holding of gods and humans. By doing this, awareness does not change from the empty-clear self-state, which is the king being placed on the throne. The throne of the five bindus is: The bindu of space, the ground that is stable without being solid is: the inner space, the nature of clear light, the self-radiance, the outer space is completely pure. The bindu of completely pure space, the water of gathering without being liquid is: the lamp of the far-reaching water, although wisdom actually resides in the citta, the self-radiance appears completely transparently, like a hawk. The bindu of great wisdom, the wind that arises without moving is: the vajra chain bindu, the self-radiance appearing as five, appearing as coming and going from the center of the sky. The spontaneously accomplished bindu, without heat

The fire of burning is, the self-illuminating wisdom of awareness upon seeing the bindu (lugu gyü). When immature, the bindu (thigle) is self-illuminating; when mature, it appears as body and the purity of appearance-emptiness. The spontaneously abiding bindu (thigle) possesses radiance that pervades without limit, the sky is, purified without other appearances than self-appearance, therefore it is joined to the nature of exhaustion. There is no separation from the view of original purity (ka dag) self-nature. These five are also, the essence is pure from the beginning within citta, unobstructed and clear, the arising of the five wisdoms abides as spontaneously accomplished, abiding purely in self-appearance. From its radiance, the outer realm is the vast blue sky. In the center of the dust-free sky, due to self-appearance, it becomes the object of self-appearance. Because it appears penetrating like a long rope, it becomes the door of self-appearance. Because it appears as the five wisdom lights, it becomes the place of self-appearance. Because it appears as bindus (thigle), it becomes the body of self-appearance. Because purity appears as self-appearance, it becomes the conclusion of self-appearance, joining with the view of the indivisibility of the dharmadhatu (ying) and nature (rigs). The three radiances are taught as joining the three appearances, the emptiness of awareness of the naturally pure sky that is seen, original purity (ka dag) thorough (zang ka) is the original radiance of the pure sky, like the intermediate sky free from dust. Its essence is the thorough awareness in the lamp of pure water, which is the self-radiance of the pure nature, like the sky at dawn. Self-appearance arises in the realm, the radiance of pure wisdom with light and bindus (thigle), like the sky when the sun rises. These three are also, the view abides in the inner dharmadhatu (ying), which is the time of the base; the radiance of awareness is clear in the intermediate space, which is the time of natural radiance; self-appearance appears outwardly, which is the time of radiance. Because of looking at the outer radiance appearance, the middle appears as self-radiance, therefore it does not move from the inner state, this is the oral instruction of the king sitting on the throne. Imprisoning the ministers is grasping the horse of the coming and going breath, grasping it far outward, slowing it down in the middle, placing it inward in its own state, the scattering of thoughts ceases, and it naturally abides in non-conceptual samadhi. The mind has many conceptual attachments to objects, like ministers, when the horse is separated from the breath and occupies the stronghold in non-conceptuality, because the view abides in immutability, it is called the key of breath. Subjugating the people so that they do not change is not conceptualizing objects at the five sense gates, focusing awareness without distraction on its own radiance, this is the key to the liberation of the six consciousnesses.
