Knowing the play of existence's wisdom as the self-sounding of its own energy, ordinariness is self-liberated in its own appearance. Inner awareness is self-dissolved in its instantaneous liberation, delighting in the play of compassion. Because there is no deliberately focused meditation, the meditation of generation and completion, and mind-holding, are abandoned. Just as a bird, wherever it goes, does not go beyond the sky, a fish, wherever it swims, does not go beyond the water, and a person, wherever they go, does not go beyond the earth, so too, whatever a yogi does, meditates on, or practices, they do not stray from the state of the empty, clear, and ungrasping awareness of self-arisen wisdom. Thus, the three kayas are accomplished as the great self-perfection. The dharmakaya does not stray from its own place, abiding in the great spontaneously present ground. This is called maintaining the state of great non-meditation and non-distraction. Since awareness is primordially enlightened, there is no need to repeat it. Abiding in one's own state, in one's own place, is the teaching of the spontaneously present dharmakaya in its own place. As it says in the Explanatory Tantra: "For disciples of middling intelligence, the intention of non-meditation is taught, establishing the foundation in the essence of the great self-nature." If the meaning is understood, there is no need to meditate, because it abides in self-presence, without separation or coming together. All objects and subjects, what is meditated on and who meditates, are without separate and conceptual fixations, like a bee's wing stuck to beeswax. Without realizing the ordinariness of the meaning of dharmata, one cannot be liberated by ordinary, sorrowful means. One must understand as above, therefore there is no distraction. Just as there is no certainty when certainty is realized, sitting is merely sitting in the state of not straying from the self-appearance of dharmata. Walking is merely walking in the state of the self-sounding of wisdom, without obstructing its own nature, like a lamp or the sun walking with its own appearance. Sleeping is also gathering energy into the ground of potential in the state of clear, empty awareness, without straying from the state. Nature dissolves into the ground, concepts are liberated in their own place, and it becomes a great accomplishment of meaning. Rising is also the self-arising of awareness in an uncorrected state, clear without obstructing its own nature. O son of noble family, keep this well in mind! Whatever you do in the four activities, do not stray from the state of the foundation of self-awareness, and do not stray from dharmata. Just as a bird, wherever it flies, does not go beyond the sky, a fish, wherever it swims, does not go beyond the water, and a person, wherever they go, does not go beyond the earth, so too, abide in the intention of the meaning of yoga. Son of noble family, what is meditated on is truly.

It is the complete Buddha. That is not elsewhere, but is one's own awareness, the Dharmakaya itself. All that arises is self-arising. Awareness, the Dharmakaya, is emptiness, without cessation, and these two are inseparable. Knowing this way, there is no cessation, and there is no obstruction to it. These five characteristics are explained. The five wisdoms arise as light. Light arises as the five families. The five awarenesses arise as the five kayas. The five kayas, father and mother, do not cease. The father and mother, the bodhisattvas and bodhisattvas' mothers, do not cease. From the five families, father and mother, the five gates arise. From the bodhisattvas, the faculties and consciousnesses arise. From the bodhisattvas' mothers, they arise as objects. This is cultivating appearance with the intention of awareness's self-arising, and there is no conceptualization of base appearance in the wisdom of self-appearance. At the time of cessation, only the intention of signs self-liberating remains on the base. The five objects are liberated within the five gates. The five gates are liberated within the nature of the bodhisattvas and bodhisattvas' mothers. The bodhisattvas and bodhisattvas' mothers are liberated within the nature of the five kayas' mothers. Those five are also liberated within the nature of the five wisdoms. The five wisdoms are liberated within the five characteristics of self-awareness. The five characteristics are liberated into awareness, ungrasping and self-illuminating. In the place of the seven faculties, the elements dissolve into the mother, absorbed into the wisdom realm. Having liberated in that way, not moving from its nature is like knowledge contained in a vase. In the vase of the unobstructed Dharmata Dharmakaya, the wisdom of self-awareness is clear like a butter lamp unmoved by the wind. This is the instruction of knowledge entering the vase. By falling asleep in the sleep of delusion, one attains the meaning of wisdom, that very suchness. Although everything arises, it arises from oneself. Although it appears, it appears from oneself. Although it is clear, it is clear from oneself. Purification and liberation also liberate within one's own nature, therefore it is great wisdom, self-purified. This shows that there is no other appearance than the great self-appearance of the essence's appearance. Like clouds and moisture arising in the sky, they arise from the sky. Although they appear, they appear from the sky. Although they abide, they abide in the nature of the sky. Although they are purified, they are purified in the nature of the sky. Although they are liberated, they are liberated in the nature of the sky. Thus it is said. This shows the intention of self-appearing wisdom, great non-meditation, non-distraction. For those of lower faculties, the meditation of Dharmata self-appearance is taught, there are two: the reason for meditation and the way to meditate. The reason is, in Kunsel it says: For those with conceptual fixations, meditation is taught. If you do not know that there is no meditation, you do not perceive and you do it in your mind.
