The distinctions, similar examples, and expressive words, I will explain briefly and definitively. The essence of the fruit is the complete perfection of the view. The definition of the fruit is: liberation, maturation, and completion, the three reaching the ultimate, never reverting. The distinctions are those with outflows and those without outflows. The two examples are different kinds of things completing simultaneously, like fruits and crops maturing, and like the udumbara flower. In all the tantras and instructions I have taught, whatever individual fruits may arise, they should be understood as explained here. The word representing the fruit is "completion." Ultimate and complete, mature and accomplished, liberated and irreversible, and so on. First is "Arhat," and finally, knowing that one has attained one's own ground. Understand as I have taught. Thus it is. In this way, the basis, path, and fruit of both one's own and others' vehicles, as well as the four: view, meditation, conduct, and result, are explained. This instruction should be used to ascertain what is to be known, as it is an important explanation of the essential points of the sutras. Second, specifically explaining how to practice, there are four aspects: establishing with the view, sustaining in the state with meditation, abandoning attachment with conduct, and seizing one's own ground with the fruit. The first aspect is: the awareness of self-arisen wisdom, vast, clear, spontaneously accomplished, free from the extremes of elaboration, free from the categories of permanence and annihilation, free from the calculations of samsara and nirvana, faults and virtues. Primordially pure, pure from the beginning, therefore not established as things and names. Self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished, therefore qualities abide in self-perfection. Adorned with the wisdom of the three kayas, the dharmakaya is primordially pure, the unchanging view, is the great transcendence. Inwardly and outwardly without gap, clear self-awareness. Without limitation and partiality, it is the intention of the Buddhas, the wisdom of simultaneous equality. In the state of self-nature, clear and spontaneously accomplished, self-radiance appears as samsara and nirvana, unceasingly self-arising. Therefore, outer and inner, container and contents, happiness and suffering, high and low, self and other, all appearances are self-arisen from the play of body and wisdom, self-appearing, self-abiding, self-liberating. Therefore, transcending acceptance and rejection and effort, appearances and names are one's own self-radiance, there is nothing else. Therefore, self-liberation in the play and manifestation of self-arisen wisdom, in self-nature, self-appearances float, without making calculations of good and bad. Just as dreams float in the state of sleep, after determining this, outer and inner
