By realizing the inherent awareness, wisdom abides in its own place. Therefore, the adornments and play are taught. Thus it is. Although there seems to be confused appearances, by realizing that in reality there is nothing and it is self-illuminating, the cycle of grasping and being grasped is completely destroyed. Although awareness seems to be insubstantial, empty, and non-existent, by realizing that in reality the Dharmakaya and wisdom are inseparable, spontaneously accomplished, one transcends suffering and causes awareness to abide in its own place of Dharmakaya. This key point is extremely important. Thirdly, there are two ways in which Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra) attains liberation: one is the Dzogchen (Great Perfection) without appearance, the way of becoming a Buddha as it is originally; the other is with appearance, where the ground appearance clearly arises outwardly, and it is believed that one attains Buddhahood through this. The first believes that one attains Buddhahood in the instant of knowing the ground emptiness as one's own Dharmakaya without moving from it. As it is said in the Tantra of Intentional Utterance: "At that time, the six dharmas of Kuntuzangpo, destroy the six fundamental ignorance, a little bit of existence is emptied, just arising awareness destroys the obscuration of awareness, clearly bright removes the darkness covering, wow arising without dullness, without addition or subtraction like the sky." And in the Tantra of the Self-Arisen Blissful Wheel: "Just a little awareness arises, wow clearly bright without addition or subtraction." These believe that Buddhahood is attained by the compassion and awareness of the self-nature of the ground Kadag (primordial purity). Those with appearance, by knowing the self-sound of the spontaneously accomplished ground appearance, attain Buddhahood from the basis of poison in the self-place of the Rupakaya (form body) and Dharmakaya. They believe that the compassion of the self-sound of the spontaneously accomplished ground, separates in an instant, liberates in the second, curls up into the womb of the spontaneously accomplished precious, becomes the fruit, separates in an instant, and attains perfect Buddhahood in an instant. Both of these arise compassion on the ground, seem to move, but do not grasp external objects, liberate in their own place in an instant, so attaining Buddhahood on the ground has the same meaning. Also, Buddhahood is attained on the ground by the self-arisen and self-knowing wisdom. As it is said in Kunsel (All-Illuminating): "Likewise, with impartial wisdom, when the protector attains perfect Buddhahood from the ground, from the root eliminates the stains of habitual confusion." In general, wherever liberation is attained, such as in the Bardo (intermediate state), it is actually liberation on the ground, but relative to being confused as sentient beings from the ground and then liberated

Although liberated from the ground, it is not liberated from the ground. It should be understood that it is different from the way Kuntuzangpo is liberated. Unifying the two systems is that on the basis of spontaneous perfection, emptiness and clarity have always existed as self-nature and self-radiance. Knowing that the essence of compassion is emptiness as the Dharmakaya, self-nature spontaneously perfects as the Sambhogakaya, and the self-nature of compassion as the Nirmanakaya, one becomes enlightened on the ground without moving from self-illumination. Kuntuzangpo, on the other hand, is liberated in the essence of primordial purity without moving from his own place, liberated in the self-nature of spontaneous perfection, and liberated in the self-awareness of compassion. Both appearance and non-appearance are distinguished by reversal, and the essence is one. Therefore, the three bodies are liberated in their own place at the same time. Although the former teachers hold different views on the two systems, I think they are one. From the three aspects of essence, self-nature, and compassion, the essence is non-appearance and emptiness, in the inner space. Self-nature is light, and the appearance is manifested as the play of light. These two are in the light of the base itself. The way compassion manifests is that samsara and nirvana are unobstructed. Although it seems that there are shortcomings and advantages from the perspective of later generations, it has never been interrupted in its own time. Recognizing one's own nature is liberated as merit. Like camphor manifested from the base, it is different due to conditions, but the essence has never been interrupted at any time. Buddhahood is achieved through realization. Therefore, one must realize the essence and self-nature. Compassion manifests as the cause of realization. The precious fruit of spontaneous perfection gains freedom. As it is said in the Kuntuzangpo Prayer: In the one and only self-illumination, the two of samsara and nirvana appear different. Although camphor, medicine, and poison are not different, they appear as different aspects of medicine and poison. The great light of the non-dual base, although it has never left the non-dual nature, appears with the power of merit. The manifestation of many is the power of merit. Confused manifestation is said to be a fault. When realized, the fault itself becomes merit. So it is said. The second general meaning is that there are two ways in which ignorant sentient beings are confused: generally speaking about the order of the three kalpas, and specifically explaining the order of the ways of confusion. First, on the basis of the self-perfected awareness, the manifestation of the base exists as self-nature. Because it exists in the play of compassion, it will move by itself and manifest outward as the play of light. From attachment, confusion arises, and the three kalpas are calculated: the manifestation of the base has never left the Dharmadhatu is the first kalpa, self-radiance.
