The meaning of reversal. As it is said in "Kunsel": The cause of confusion is ignorance, Co-emergent and completely imputed, Essence, definition, differences, Examples, methods, and expressions, should be explained. Son of lineage, the essence of ignorance is, Bewilderment, and grasping what is not it as it. The definition is, because of being deluded about the meaning, it is ignorance. Divided into two, co-emergent ignorance and, completely imputed ignorance. From what and with what does co-emergent ignorance arise? What arises together with what? What is ignorant of what? Son of lineage, from what? From the consciousness that grasps the basis. With what? With the two, co-emergent wisdom and ignorance. What? In the realm of the Dharma nature that is not altered by fabrication. What is ignorant of what? Like the radiance of inherent nature, the appearance of the radiance of an image, like appearing in a mirror, that is ignorance. That meaning is called co-emergent ignorance. Completely imputed is when a coarse perception arises towards an object, it is the nature of past and future moments. The example is like a blind old woman. Alas! Son of lineage, that ignorance also, is not truly existent, then how is it? Like a post? Or a rope as a snake, no one is there and no one is familiar, or a person who was once angered appears as an enemy, the appearance is like a rope appearing as a snake. That appears even though it is not truly existent, and although it appears, it is emptiness. Son of lineage, like that example, ignorance is not actually there but is present in experience. How does that arise? Because the limit of the body is not complete, the power of wisdom is not complete, the memory of knowing is not awakened to the five lights of the radiance of the wisdom of seeing objects. In that awakened, unwavering state, from Samantabhadra, when the arising of the wisdom of its own nature appears unhindered in the object, because it has not been seen or experienced before, I am captivated by it, and the limit of realizing the great self-appearance is not decided. Son of lineage, the reason for ignorance. Ignorance and, bewilderment and, not knowing and, not perceiving and, not seeing the meaning and, confusion and, reversal, etc., wherever they arise, are all said to be ignorance. Thus it is said. Third, the time of confusion: In the clear light of the basis appearance of inherent nature, when the light of the image of self-radiance arises, confusion arises from the birth of grasping.

Furthermore, it says: O Lord of Secrets! The time of delusion is when self-awareness arises in the realm of objects, giving rise to grasping. Thus it is said. Fourth, the causes of delusion are four. The causal condition is the luminosity of the nature of awareness. The dominant condition is the light of the image arising from itself. The objective condition is the arising of conceptual thought that grasps at objects. Immediately, these three conditions are simultaneous: the light of the nature is not clear, and the image leaves imprints on the light, thus delusion occurs. Fifth, the result of delusion is maturing into sentient beings and then maturing into vessel and essence. Because the light of the image leaves imprints on the five lights, the vessel world appears as the four continents, Mount Meru, and the realms of the six classes of beings. Because grasping arises towards the light-bindu like an egg, it is deluded into a body. The light-bindus of the five lights, together with the four elements and space, form the imprints of the five aggregates. This is called egg-born, but it is not the egg of a bird. Although it is said "Shed Bu Shed Drog," it does not refer to the two gods who first appeared in the world. It is the name for the male and female sentient beings that appear after grasping arises towards the light-egg. In short, from the state of awareness, light and bindus arise and leave imprints, thus forming the environment and body. Then, the four births and six realms, etc., appear as different deluded phenomena. As it says in the 'All-Illuminating': At that time, grasping and apprehended thoughts, could not clarify the five lights of self-nature. Because imprints were left on the five images, like foam on the sea, or skin on yogurt, the four continents, Mount Meru, and minor continents, from their essence, the egg of existence arose, as well as grasses, forests, medicines, and flowers, which arise from moisture and warmth. And: Like wind moving in empty space, the great wind of mind moves everywhere. Through the action of the eyes, the egg of existence is seen. Through the action of the heart, the egg is well known. Through the action of the mouth, attachment arises towards it. Awareness, together with mind, abides. It matures into two, male and female sentient beings. From the four births comes egg-born. The aggregates of the five great elements are relied upon. Because the five elements are complete, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are established. It is called "Shed Bu Shed la Drog." From this, womb-born arises. The world of this aeon is gradually formed. Afflictions become coarse and the fruit is bad. The final destination is the Avici hell.
