Certainty. It is to decide in the self-abiding place of original purity, where phenomena and concepts are exhausted. To settle on the ground of confidence in liberation is: In the state of abiding thus, whatever sudden thoughts and ideas arise without ceasing, do not pursue them, do not follow them, do not subdue them with antidotes. By leaving them to self-liberate, the movements are purified. Whatever arises is self-liberated. Arising and liberation are simultaneous. Arising and liberation have no before or after. The potency dissolves into the ground. Mother and child meet effortlessly. It merges with the wisdom realm. When the basis of memory touches the view of original purity, everything is liberated into the realm of reality. Like waves arising from the ocean dissolving back into their own place, liberation occurs. In the moment of arising, recognizing the initial place of liberation, one settles on the ground of confidence in liberation. Abiding in the primordial state, one is liberated with a single cut. Abiding in self-arising, one is liberated in inner liberation. Abiding without reliance, one is liberated without grasping. Abiding without direction, one is liberated without bias. Abiding in self-liberation, one is liberated in whatever arises. Abiding in the immediate fall, one is liberated in the sudden impact. Abiding in self-potency, one is liberated in one's own place. The self-radiance of the essence of emptiness, arising as the potency of wisdom and awareness, is liberated in the self-abiding place of the original purity Dharmakaya. As the four times revolve in the wheel of reality, in the view of the inseparable realm and wisdom, it becomes one taste. Whatever arises bursts forth as the play of wisdom. It is confidence in the wisdom that transcends mind, the awareness that transcends thought, and the Dharmakaya that transcends the alaya. Knowing the essence as primordially liberated, one generates confidence that there is no need to liberate again. Knowing the nature as completely liberated, one generates confidence that there is no need to liberate with antidotes. Knowing compassion as self-liberated, one generates confidence that liberation does not depend on before or after. Knowing reality as nakedly liberated, one generates confidence that appearance and awareness are liberated as non-dual. Knowing characteristics as self-liberated, one generates confidence that liberation occurs without effort. By liberating the potency at the ground, one attains permanent sovereignty in the palace of the Dharmakaya king. In the Uttaratantra it says: That which is called self-mind liberation, does not go from one place to another. It is a mind that is not liberated by anything. Since it is complete from the ground, there is no coming or going. Since it is not found by investigation, there is no reason. Since there is no basis, it abides in emptiness and clarity. The meaning of abiding in self-clarity is: Since it is liberated by the key point, there is no partiality. Since it is liberated by time, there is no dependence. Since it is liberated without effort, there is no striving or accomplishment. That

Liberation through conviction is such that, since it is liberated from the very beginning, there is no need to re-establish a basis. Since it is self-liberated, there is no antidote. Since it is liberated by staring, it vanishes at the place of seeing. Since it is completely liberated, there is no effort. Thus it is said. Thus, self-awareness is recognized as the Dharmakaya, the inherent sound is determined as the view, and conviction is established in the spontaneously liberated primordial purity. These three—the unobstructed knowledge that arises spontaneously, free from the mind of antidotes, are recognized by cutting through with "ཁྲེགས་" in the original pure ground. After death, it is said: All appearances and existences arise in the realm of Dharmakaya. The very moment they arise, they are liberated in oneself. That very moment is the descent of the Buddhas' intention. Thus it is said. Second, there are four aspects to the introduction to Tögal: First, grasping the essential points of body, speech, and mind. Second, relying on the three essential points to introduce directly to oneself. Third, the way the four visions arise through such practice. Fourth, the final instructions. First: The essential point of the body is to assume any of the three postures. The essential point of speech is to train in not speaking. The essential point of mind is to direct awareness without distraction into the outer space and train for several days. This will harmonize the winds and mind, and make the postures and gazes workable. Second: Introduction through the four essential points: the essential point of the door, the essential point of the object, the essential point of the wind (since awareness and wind are considered one, it is called three essential points), and the essential point of awareness. In the actual introduction: The essential point of the door is to look with any of the three ways of looking. The self-radiance residing within the heart of wisdom is the appearance of a water lamp, which manifests through the control of the gaze. The essential point of the object is to direct the outer space to the cloudless sky, so that the lamp of inner purity may appear. The essential point of the wind is to inhale gently through the mouth, exhale, hold it inside, and rest in the middle. Train in these three. The essential point of awareness is to seize the spontaneously arising bindus without distraction when the vision of wisdom appears in space, and not let them separate. These are the stages of grasping the essential points beforehand. The actual introduction is the clear light of the essential point's vision, the appearance of the Vajra chain. When the outer space is clear, the five lights of the inner space appear. Within them, the awareness Vajra chain, adorned with the radiant gathering of bindus on a golden thread, moves back and forth.
