Then, sit in a squatting position, with both hands encircling the waist or knees. Straighten the spine and gaze with half-closed eyes into the space. The benefit of doing so is stated in the 'Transcendence': The sitting posture of the Dharmakaya is like a lion, freeing oneself from all deluded fears, one will be able to see with the vajra eye. The sitting posture of the Sambhogakaya is, relying on the sleeping posture of an elephant, one enjoys the meaning of Dharmata, and will be able to see with the lotus eye. The sitting posture of the Nirmanakaya serpent is, relying on the squatting posture of a hermit, Dharmata appears and self-emanates as Nirmanakaya, and will be able to see with the Dharma eye. So it is said. The fault of not restraining is stated in the 'Clarity of Space': If the key points of the body are not restrained, the elemental winds cannot be controlled, likewise, warmth will not arise in the body, and awareness cannot truly appear. So it is said. There are two necessities for doing this sitting posture: temporary and ultimate. Firstly, the sitting posture of the Dharmakaya causes the inner elements to be exhausted, the Sambhogakaya controls the moving winds, and the Nirmanakaya causes warmth to arise in the body, and there is a need to harmonize the elements. Secondly, there is a need to liberate all Buddhas into the three kayas, thereby escaping suffering and attaining Nirvana. Secondly, restraining the key point of speech is stated in the 'Clarity of Space': Restraining one's own key point is most precious. So it is said. How to restrain it? In the 'Transcendence' it says: Speech should be taught and abide, and the repetition itself should be shown. So it is said, and in the 'After Death' it says: Speech has a sequence of teachings, abiding firmly and repeating again. So it is said, in order to stop confused speech and generate unspeakable meaning in the continuum, first practice short periods of silence, then practice long periods of silence, then the sequence of temporarily abiding in speech, clearly reciting one's own Dharma practices, not speaking a single word to others, only indicating with the body. Then cut off all speech and abide like a mute person. Its benefit is stated in the 'Clarity of Space': Like this, whoever restrains the key point of speech, the causes of speech are exhausted, and Nirvana is attained. So it is said. The fault of not doing so is stated in itself: If the key point of speech is not restrained, one will not realize the unspeakable meaning, and confused speech will obscure the meaning. So it is said. The necessity of these also has two, temporarily

Lies and afflictions will not increase. Ultimately, it is necessary to quickly touch the meaning of wisdom and to pass from suffering in the realm of all Buddhas' speech. Third, the key point of the mind is the two, wind and awareness. By slowing the wind, the senses are directed towards the sky like a spear. As it is said in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "The key is to fix the target." As it is said in "How to Fix After the Past": "The mind is directed to the sky between the eyebrows, and the wisdom of the three bodies appears as emptiness." And, "The mind itself is directed to the outer sky, and the inner lamp appears manifestly." This is quoted from the previous teaching. In "Beyond Change" it says: "The mind is accomplished by directing it to the sphere of reality." And in "Without Letters" it says: "The eyes observe the expanse of the sky." Therefore, by looking at the empty outer space of reality without the eyes and mind wandering, the lamp of the inner pure space of reality, awareness, will appear as empty and clear. Its merit is as it is said in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "Thus, by fixing the key point of the mind, the wisdom of the three bodies appears as emptiness." The fault of not fixing it is also said in it: "If the key point of the mind is not fixed, the pure space of reality, awareness, will not be seen." And, "If there is no key point of the mind like that, it will turn to the object of awareness." For this, there are two necessities: temporarily, one can clearly manifest the wisdom of awareness, and ultimately, one will attain complete Buddhahood. If one does not do so, there will be the fault of reversing from those merits. Third, the way to represent the secret path of the three wisdoms is, as it is said in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "If the three key points are not fixed beforehand, awareness will not naturally come, and there will be no difference from the clinging of consciousness, so it is extremely important to seek the three key points." And in "Beyond Change" it says: "The oral instructions of the three key points should not be separated, that is, the door and the object, and the key points of wind and awareness should be coordinated." And in "After the Past" it says: "By coordinating the key points of door, object, and wind, awareness will appear manifestly in the object." Therefore, here there is the key point of the door that causes appearance, the basis of appearance is the key point of the object, and how it appears is the key point of the wind. Among these three, the first is as it is said in "Beyond Change": "The door through which wisdom appears is the gathering of all the essence of the body, and it is emitted from the door called eye (Tibetan: ཙཀྵུ, Devanagari: चक्षु, Romanized Sanskrit: cakṣu, Literal Chinese meaning: eye). The parts of the two show the appearance, especially the one that can clearly distinguish good from bad, from the hair coiled like a ram's horn, the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A)
