The various manifestations from the mind of existence are the very nature of the Protector of Existence (referring to the deity). Are water and waves different? This is in accordance with that. Thus, without obstructing the manifestation, liberation in the nature of reality is like the waves of the ocean subsiding into the ocean itself. In the Tantra of the Marvelous King, it says: Just as the waves of the ocean, all the agitations of the mind, dissolve into the primordial ground of the ocean. Or like salt dissolving in water. Saraha (an Indian Mahasiddha) said: Just as salt dissolves in water, so too does the mind dissolve into itself. In any case, when the manifesting thoughts are allowed to run their course, they dissolve back into their original source. In the Doha it says: Just like a crow that flies from a ship, circling and circling, it eventually returns to the same place. This is in accordance with this principle. Third, manifestation and abiding are non-dual, like a small wave arising from the ocean. Abiding manifests in various ways, manifestation is free from grasping and being grasped, equal and without attachment. Outwardly, things appear in various ways, but the appearance does not disturb the mind, like the direct perception of the senses. Inwardly, things manifest in various ways, but are free from attachment, like the consciousness in a dream. The six objects are experienced in various ways, but there is no acceptance or rejection, no hope or fear, like the consciousness of a young child. Thoughts subside into the realm of manifestation, like salt dissolving in water. Whatever arises is free from attachment, like a madman without hope. When there is no attachment to the appearance of objects, it is called the realization of emptiness of outer and inner. The meaning of that itself, in the Tantra of the Heart Essence of Attachment and Liberation, it says: All outer and inner discriminations, are primordially empty and liberated. Thus, when the mind abides, it reaches the primordial state; when it manifests, it appears as the play of wisdom; when it is equal, no matter what is done, it does not go beyond the play of the nature of reality. At that time, one gains the confidence of liberating from the ground without abandoning thoughts, thereby pacifying the effort to liberate again. Because whatever arises is liberated in its own place, one gains the confidence of not relying on the antidote of mindfulness. The six objects are liberated in immediate vision, thus one gains the confidence of being free from the consciousness of grasping before and after. Because one knows that good and bad are completely liberated, one gains the confidence of being free from the partiality of acceptance and rejection, as it says in the Thalgyur: When all one's thoughts are abandoned, one possesses four great modes of liberation, primordially liberated, so there is no basis for re-creation, one's own liberation, so there is no antidote.

It vanishes into sight through liberation, and there is no need for effort through complete liberation. Thus it is. Such liberating knowledge, or thoughts, do not arise from anywhere, nor do they go anywhere, like reflections in a mirror. However they may appear, if they are not grasped, they are free from benefit and harm to the ground. As it says: "What is called self-mind liberation is not going from one place to another. The mind that is not liberated by anything has no coming or going because it is complete from the ground up. It cannot be found by investigation, and there is no reason for it. Because there is no basis, emptiness and clarity abide. That mind that abides in self-clarity is free from bias because it is liberated by the key point, free from dependence because it is liberated by time, and free from effort because it is liberated without effort." Thus it is. In short, whatever arises as awareness, this awareness that is free from grasping abides as self-arisen, so it is liberated as self-liberation. Because it abides as indeterminate, it is liberated as non-grasping. Because it abides as primordial liberation, it is liberated as groundless. Because it abides as immediate, it is liberated as sudden. Because it abides as arising liberation, it is liberated as appearance-emptiness. Here are verses: This mind-essence that is primordially liberated by its own nature, it is wonderful to be liberated by leaving it as it arises and is comfortable. This dharma-nature that is unborn and pure from the beginning, it is very wonderful to be spontaneously accomplished without searching. This mind-essence that is free from the root of the three times, it is very happy to appear manifestly without meditation. The dharma that is pure in its own nature from beginning to end, it is wonderful that primordial liberation, complete liberation, and the cessation of effort. Easy to realize and happy to see, this ordinary, natural, unadorned, and relaxed state, in the state of primordial liberation, original preservation, and natural dharma-nature, is the intention of the Victorious Ones, the vast expanse of ultimate liberation. As long as the mind meditates and strives, the original state of mind-essence will not be seen. Without thinking or contemplating, in the ordinary dharma-nature, there is no meditation or non-meditation, distraction or non-distraction. Meditating in this way does not stop thoughts, and not meditating freely does not liberate more. Liberation and non-liberation are not two. Knowing the true nature brings effortless happiness. These are the verses in between. Third, training in skill by mixing the three self-liberations with circumstances, there are three parts. Self-liberation of the three poisons: Whatever arises, whether desire, hatred, or ignorance, by leaving it in its natural state, it is widely spread as non-grasping primordial liberation. Second, self-liberation of the five senses:
