Then, it reverses from the root. Second, the special necessity is: relying on the attachment of body, speech, and mind reversing from the root, from now on, body, speech, and mind have no seeds for reversing into samsara, therefore there is a necessity of definitely not reversing. There is a necessity of body, speech, and mind being liberated into the three kayas. Third, the ultimate necessity is: body, speech, and mind being non-dual with the body, speech, and mind of the Buddha, there is a necessity of passing into nirvana. Thus, if body, speech, and mind are not distinguished, because there are seeds of samsara, there is a fault of reversing from the above qualities. Third, the secret is to settle body, speech, and mind in their natural state and restore them. The first of the two is to settle them in their natural state: From "The Blazing Lamp" it says: "Having distinguished samsara and nirvana, settle body, speech, and mind in their natural state." And from "Refutation" it says: "At this time, the key points of body, speech, and mind, those with yoga should settle in their natural state." Therefore, having done the above preliminaries, the channels, elements, and energies become disturbed, and body, speech, and mind do not enter into the virtuous practice of suchness. In order to prevent the elements and channels from becoming disturbed, settling in their natural state is: From "After Death" it says: "Then, those three, body, speech, and mind, should skillfully settle in their natural state." That is to say, body, speech, and mind should lie down on a comfortable bed, stop all movement, speech, and thoughts, and remain relaxed. That is to say, the body settles in its natural state, so it does not move. Speech settles in its natural state, so it does not want to speak. The mind settles in its natural state, so all thoughts of scattering and gathering naturally subside. If this does not happen, repeat it. The merit of settling in this way is: From "Vast Expanse of Clarity" it says: "Thus, whoever settles in this way, the disturbance of elements, diseases, and calamities will be pacified, and clinging will become self-liberated." The fault of not settling is: From the same text it says: "There is a fault of reversing from the qualities." The necessity is twofold: Temporarily, body, speech, and mind settle in their natural state, so the elements do not become disturbed, and diseases and calamities do not occur. Therefore, there is a necessity of abiding in the meditation of one's own nature. Ultimately, there is a necessity of the clinging of body, speech, and mind becoming naturally pure. Thus, if one does not settle in their natural state, there will be a fault of reversing from the above qualities. Second, restoration is from "Vast Expanse of Clarity": Realizing the meaning of primordial purity.

For the sake of the ground. Completely let go and then abide. The so-called "abiding" refers to, from the previous state, with the posture of abiding, in order to generate the realization of the originally pure view in the continuum. The real abiding is: In "After the Past" it says: "The Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha, Bodhisattva, and Wrathful Deity, also abide with their respective postures. Thus, after these three abide, they will diligently engage in practice." Therefore, the first is the posture of the Shravaka, with eight branches, abiding single-mindedly, without thinking or speaking anything. As it is said in "Space of Light": "With the peaceful posture of the Shravaka, body, speech, and mind are able to abide." Second, the posture of the Bodhisattva is to sit in full lotus posture, eyes staring straight into space, the mind not moving in any direction. As it is said in that same scripture: "With the posture of the Bodhisattva, one is able to abide and obtain bliss." Third, the posture of the Wrathful Deity is: the legs are spread apart like a warrior, the eyes are staring upwards into space, the mouth recites Haha and Hihi, etc., and the mind abides without being separated from elaboration. As it is said in "Space of Light": "With the posture of the Wrathful Deity, one can also accomplish the three qualities of abiding." Therefore, with the posture of the Shravaka, one makes the body, speech, and mind, which are not peaceful, peaceful; with the posture of the Bodhisattva, one makes the peaceful more stable; with the posture of the Wrathful Deity, one makes the stable liberated. There are two necessities for such abiding: temporarily, good experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination will arise in body, speech, and mind; ultimately, one will realize the meaning of the originally pure view of Vipassana. If one cannot abide in this way, there will be faults opposite to the above-mentioned qualities. Third, the way to establish the essence of reality, the method of Tögal, is: In "Meaning Instructions After the Past" it says: With the posture of the Wrathful Deity, one makes the stable liberated. First, cut off the root of conceptual thoughts, then look for the weakness of the mind, then observe the three places of origin, dwelling, and going, then recognize conceptual thoughts as mind, recognize mind as emptiness, recognize emptiness as appearance, recognize appearance and emptiness as non-dual, recognize non-duality as self-liberation, recognize the five poisons as self-liberation, recognize the five senses as self-liberation, recognize the six consciousnesses as self-liberation. Thus, completely let go, thereby determining the meaning of Tögal, as it is said, therefore before this
