It is necessary to pacify obstacles and to reverse the mind's clinging. Secondly, it is necessary for the mind to be liberated into the Dharmakaya. Thirdly, it is necessary for the minds of all Buddhas to be non-dual with the Vajra and to pass into Nirvana on the basis of the primordial ground. Thus, if the mind and the rashan are not separated, there is a fault of deviating from the above qualities. If you ask, is the attainment of the three bodies and the passing into Nirvana in the three Vajras of body, speech, and mind of the Buddha the same? Why do you say that the difference and the ultimate necessity are different? There is a difference. The attainment of the three bodies of body, speech, and mind is the appearance of the external manifestation of beings, and the passing into Nirvana is the attainment of the inner clarity on the basis of the primordial ground. Thus, the ultimate practice of body, speech, and mind is to eliminate the appearance of external delusion. Secondly, the separation of the inner body, speech, and mind rashan and the purification of obscurations is as follows: As the Longsal says, "In order to exhaust the cause of delusion, the cycle of existence and Nirvana rashan are separated internally." Thus, although the above three preliminaries eliminate the appearance of external delusion, the cause and seeds of delusion of the inner body, speech, and mind are not exhausted. Therefore, in order to exhaust them, it is necessary to separate the cycle of existence and rashan internally in the body, speech, and mind. The actual separation is as follows: "This body is produced by the cause of ignorance, therefore, the seeds of the six realms reside in it. Since awareness is the reality of the three bodies, the three bodies appear as three letters. By practicing the letters, the rashan is separated." How do the six seeds reside? As the Longsal says, "On the crown of the head, the throat, the heart, the navel, the secret place, and the soles of the feet, A Su Nri Tri Pre Du reside." Thus, in the six places of beings to be subdued, the letters of the three bodies that can subdue are used to subdue. In the crown of one's own body, visualize the white letter A, which has the habit of the gods and is obscured by a white mist. Similarly, in the throat, visualize the greenish-yellow letter Su, which has the habit of the Asuras. In the heart, visualize the bluish-gray letter Nri, which has the habit of humans. In the navel, visualize the reddish-black letter Tri, which has the habit of animals. In the secret place, visualize the green letter Pre, which has the habit of pretas. In the soles of the feet, visualize the smoky letter Du, which has the habit of hell beings. Visualize them gathering, and from the white seed syllable OM (藏文:ཨཱོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) of the body on the crown of the head, rays of light radiate.

Homage. From the red ĀḤ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal meaning: ĀḤ) at the throat, light radiates. From the blue HŪṂ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: HŪṂ) at the heart, light radiates. Imagine that the light burns away the obscurations of the six seeds, body, speech, and mind, and all the habitual tendencies of ignorance and delusion, and recite. Recite seven sets of a hundred thousand OṂ (Tibetan: ཨཱོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: OṂ) ĀḤ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal meaning: ĀḤ) HŪṂ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: HŪṂ) with a melodious voice and song. At that time, just as I am, imagine that fire blazes from the letters at the three places of all sentient beings, and recite, burning the six seeds. As a sign of accomplishment, there are dreams of the exhaustion of sins, and various signs. The ordinary clinging to body, speech, and mind ceases, and it feels as clear and transparent as a crystal egg. Repeat until this happens. This is the wish-fulfilling jewel, the king of power, among all the objects of focus. Also, because of not knowing oneself, the various karmas accumulated while wandering in samsara are imprinted on the six letters. When good and bad karmas cause samsara to rise and fall, the karma of whatever birth causes wind and mind to gather in the root essence of that letter, and the six different appearances of the six realms of beings arise. Also, because various good and bad karmas have been accumulated, they are imprinted on the six letters, drawing forth the next samsara. Therefore, the basis of good and bad karma is the six letters. When the three letters of the three bodies are burned, one is liberated from the dangerous path of samsaric happiness and suffering, and attains nirvana. Thus, no matter how the knowledge of past times remains, it should be placed on one's own continuum and observed. The benefit of distinguishing the root and shoot in this way is stated in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "Whoever distinguishes the root and shoot internally, empties the source of delusion, the seeds of samsara, and the three do not revert to samsara." The fault of not distinguishing is stated therein: "If the seeds are not exhausted in this way, the connection of samsara will not be severed." The necessity of distinguishing the root and shoot internally is stated in "Consequence": "There are two necessities for this, to examine by means of the common and supreme distinctions." And in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "The preliminaries of body, speech, and mind are, the common, special, and ultimate, know that there are three necessities." Therefore, first, the common necessity is that the seeds of sins of body, speech, and mind are eradicated from the root, the seeds that cause obstacles of body, speech, and mind are pacified from the root, and the seeds of clinging of body, speech, and mind are
