Please grant blessings. Inviting the Guru, the embodiment of the three kayas and great bliss, surrounded by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, heroes and heroines beyond measure. Residing on the lotus and moon seat on the crown of the head, mentally prostrate, offer, confess sins, rejoice in merit, request to turn the wheel of Dharma, request not to pass into Nirvana until Samsara is empty, and pray for one's own realization, Samadhi, loving-kindness, compassion, Bodhicitta, and whatever else is desired. From the body, speech, and mind of the Gurus, three rays of white, red, and blue light emanate, touching the body, speech, and mind of oneself and all sentient beings, purifying the obscurations of the three doors, replenishing broken vows, and thinking of attaining whatever desired accomplishments. Finally, from the Guru's toe, the nectar of Bodhicitta flows like a stream of milk, filling the five places of one's crown, throat, heart, navel, and secret place, purifying the five poisons, attaining the five kayas, and attaining the accomplishments of the nature of the five wisdoms. Those Gurus dissolve into light and merge into oneself. Oneself also dissolves into light, not established as any entity, abiding in the state of the Great Perfection of naturalness. Afterwards, dedicate the merit for the benefit of sentient beings. Thus, the benefits of meditating on the four sessions of yoga day and night, etc., are: temporarily, it pleases everyone, all wishes are fulfilled, all diseases, evil spirits, and obstacles are pacified, the three minds of loving-kindness, compassion, and Bodhicitta continuously arise, Samadhi and special realization arise in the mindstream, the Guru is pleased and speaks the sacred secret treasury, the progress of view, meditation, and action increases, Dakinis gather like clouds, retinue and enjoyment are great, and fame spreads far and wide, and ultimately, perfect enlightenment is attained. From the Root Tantra of Sound Transformation, it says: "The qualities of that teaching are like the wish-fulfilling tree and the wish-fulfilling jewel, like the wish-granting cow, one obtains immeasurable qualities." Thus, obtaining great merit, from the Great Array Sutra, it says: "Better than meditating on hundreds of thousands of deities, if one does not stray from the Guru's body, one will obtain hundreds of thousands of merits."

Gro. Reciting and practicing millions of times is not as good as the guru's prayer. The merit of reciting it three times is not comparable to a million powers. Practicing the Completion Stage for eons is not as good as abandoning all distractions. The guru appears in the center of one's own mind, which is not comparable to twenty thousand merits. Meditating, praising, and remembering the guru will surely and quickly accomplish Buddhahood. Thus it is said. Third, pleasing the guru through practice: that is, practicing the guru's teachings, such as the Generation Stage, Completion Stage, and Union, and causing others to do the same. In particular, abandoning this life, forcibly cutting off attachment, going alone to a solitary place like a female deer, and diligently practicing the meaning of the Manifest Heart Essence day and night. The merit is as stated in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Practicing the Generation Stage for three eons is not as good as pleasing the guru through practice. The merit of a moment surpasses that." Thus it is said. In short, one should please the guru in any way, through body, speech, mind, and possessions. In this way, all siddhis will be accomplished, all transgressions will be restored, and all great karmic obscurations, such as the five heinous crimes, will be purified. The Root Tantra of Great Perfection of Samvara says: "The faithful who desire accomplishment, accomplishment comes from pleasing the guru's heart. Likewise, afflictions, near afflictions, all sins will be purified." Thus it is said. Therefore, one should first offer and respect the guru. In this way, one will perfect all accumulations of merit, all austerities and ascetic practices will be stabilized, one will offer all mandalas and near mandalas, please Vajrasattva, and quickly attain all-knowing wisdom. The Glorious Guhyasamaja Root Tantra says: "Abandoning all offerings, offering properly to the guru, pleasing him, one will obtain all, the supreme wisdom of the Tathagatas. The disciple of the unsurpassed teacher, if he can excellently offer Vajra, there is no need to accumulate merits, nor is there any need for austerities. What is there to seek?" Thus it is said. Incidentally, explaining the faults of displeasing the guru and the measure of confessing sins, of the two, first, having slightly wrong views towards the guru with the three doors in a dream

Moreover, if one is contemptuous, the faults are inconceivable. As it says in the Tantra of the Vow Chapter: "In dreams, body, speech, and mind, if one commits even a slight fault against the Vajra Master, one will take a hundred births as a dog, and be born as a leper. Then, in the hells of sentient beings, one will experience only the suffering of both heat and cold." And as it says in the Vajrakila Tantra: "From the Master, one obtains accomplishment. If one despises him, one will obtain great suffering in hell. Even if one is liberated from that, for hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, one will not even hear the name of the sacred Dharma." And as it says in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: "The fault of reviling the Lama and disturbing his mind is, like drying up the great outer ocean with hairs, one will experience suffering to that extent, which is known as the Vajra Hell." And as it says in the Vajra Dakini Tantra: "One should not disparage the Master, for this is equal to all Buddhas. Whoever reviles the Master, will experience suffering in this very life, afflicted by plagues, poisons, and decaying poisons, tormented by the Dakinis, killed by demons and fierce, deluded spirits, and fall into the hells of sentient beings." And so forth. The extent of confessing faults is that confessing the change of faith and the number of contempts about seven or ten times will purify them, but if it exceeds the number of years, it will not purify them. As it says in the Tantra of the Vow Chapter: "If a person who has despised the Lama, confesses with repentance seven or ten times, it will be purified. If the place of confession exceeds one's own age, Vajrasattva will not allow it." Thus it is said, so at all times, one should not think of the Lama's faults, but remember his qualities, and without deceit or trickery in body, speech, and mind, like a sick person relying on a doctor, a sailor relying on a helmsman, a merchant relying on a caravan leader, or a guest relying on a guide, one should constantly and respectfully rely on the sacred Lama without interruption in order to pacify afflictions, to cross the river of suffering, to accomplish the fruit of desires, and to be liberated from the fear of samsara. Fourth, the characteristics of a friend are that they have pure vows and great pure perception, small five poisons and great wisdom, a relaxed nature and a broad mind, long patience and
