The wisdom of did not radiate outwards, but remained in the inner clarity. In "Vast Expanse of Clarity" it says: The wisdom of the essence of primordial purity is free from all ignorance and conceptualization. The wisdom of self-existing perfection abides in the emptiness and clarity of its own radiance. The wisdom of all-pervading compassion abides in the unobstructed appearance of emptiness. So it is said. If these are summarized, there are only three wisdoms. In "Union of Sun and Moon" it says: The wisdom of the ground is threefold: the wisdom of the essence of primordial purity, the wisdom of self-existing perfection, and the wisdom of self-arising compassion. So it is said. Secondly, the detailed explanation is divided into essence, nature, and compassion. Furthermore, if measured from the perspective of the original ground essence, emptiness is free from elaboration, like the sky completely pure, it is not existent, not non-existent. It is not appearance, not non-appearance. It is not both, nor is it neither. It is not samsara, not nirvana. It is not virtue, not sin. It is not done, not undone. It is not appearance, not emptiness. It is not a thing, not a non-thing. It is not conditioned, not unconditioned. It has no color, no distinction. It has no essence, no graspable object. The meaning to be expressed is not established. The words to express it are not established. The object to be symbolized is not established. The basis of abiding is not established. The primordial state is not established. Since there is no place of origin, there is no past. Since there is no place of going and coming, there is no future. Since there is no place of reliance, there is no present to be designated. There is no karma. There are no habitual tendencies. There is no ripening. There is no knowledge. There is no ignorance. There is no mind. There is no wisdom. Appearance and non-appearance, existence and non-existence, being and non-being, and so on, cannot be symbolized or shown by any form of words, meanings, names, or letters. It is beyond the realm of the intellect. In "String of Pearls" it says: In the primordial purity of the very beginning, even saying "delusion" is not possible. Likewise, what is non-delusion? Therefore, delusion is pure from the very beginning. So it is said. In "Refutation" it says: In the wisdom of the essence of primordial purity, there is no possibility of ignorance, so there is no number such as one or two. In the undivided, single certainty, there is no establishment of mere wisdom. The wisdom of self-existing perfection, unborn and unceasing, what do you think it is? Because the objects are not definite.

With power and merit unobstructed, merely appearing as play, it is the root of various expressions. Thus it is said. From the absence of letters, for the view of self-arisen wisdom, there is no object to be applied to. There is no past that has passed away. There is no future that will come. There is nothing that abides in the present. There is no karma. There are no imprints. There is no ignorance. There is no mind. There is no wisdom. There is no samsara. There is no nirvana. Even awareness itself does not exist, and there is nothing that appears as wisdom. All of that arises from the absence of grasping. Thus it is said. From the self-arising of awareness, it transcends the extremes of permanence and annihilation. The stains of the four extremes are naturally purified. Thus it is said. Now, is primordial purity the same as the empty sky, which is devoid of anything? If you ask, because emptiness is used to open up understanding, the completely pure sky is used as an example. But the example is not set on the level of having no appearance or awareness. As the Consequence says: Empty, clear, aware, and unchanging. Thus it is said. From the absence of letters: Emaho! I am complete without abandoning emptiness and appearance. Thus it is said. From the Clear Expanse: Because of emptiness, clarity, and non-cessation, it is vast and without partiality. Thus it is said. From Self-Arisen: Before I existed, the abiding of the ground was like this: the ground called the Great Primordial Purity abides in the three: essence, nature, and compassion. Essence is the unchanging wisdom, the unceasing clarity, which is called the abiding of the youthful vase body. Nature is the unceasing appearance of the five lights. The appearance of compassion is like a cloudless sky. Those are called the abiding of the essence of primordial purity, not cut off from India, and not fallen to any side. Thus it is said. Therefore, that initial primordial purity is also: the wisdom of essence emptiness, the Dharma Body; the wisdom of nature clarity, the Enjoyment Body; the wisdom of compassion self-appearance, the Emanation Body; the wisdom of clear emptiness non-conceptual, like the completely pure autumn sky. Second, explaining nature in detail. That also, if measured from the nature level of the primordial ground, is clear and free from obscuration and covering, like the image of a clear mirror without tarnish, or a lamp inside a vase, or the moon in water, the root of appearing in any place is unceasing, the outer conditions are not broken, in the non-conceptual pure Dharma Body, the light
